Finally saved enough cash!

Deposited my last paycheck and I am now ready to buy a manual 370. (a year of saving and cutting back spending on everything)

The dilemma: went to the nissan dealer, test drove a left over '12 and a '13, decided to wait a few more days to decide and ask you guys which year you would go with, however as I was leaving the dealership the salesman told me to hold out and not buy a Z as the model redesign is around the corner :icon14:
Then I started browsing different forums and found out the mustang redesign is around the corner as well.

Would you purchase now or hold out for a little longer for the redesign?
common sense is telling me to wait for the next model year, the itch for a sports car making me want to get the '12 base sport.

I hope I don't get flamed too hard for this!

thanks for the input

If you are all about having the LATEST & GREATEST then wait it out. New Models are a couple months away..

That being said, I didnt know they were redoing more on the 370z.. I was kind of hoping they would make a 390z or something.

If you love the car, then the year wont really matter as the 09-12's look identical with the exception of a couple things.

Good luck! I bought my '09 370z without doing any research. I wanted a 350z/g35/or a4.. Ended up test driving the 370z and nothing compared. Had to throw down 12k for a down payment instead of buying an entire car.

Now i am making payments. Do i regret it? Eh..sort of. I could be spending my money on better/more responsibile things. But I love the car to death so it makes it worth it.

If you plan on waiting, just wait till the new G model debuts. It will be a good indicator of what the next Z will have under the hood. Mustang will be based on the same platform but IRS and maybe some minor tweaks to the motor.

And now, deep thoughts with w0rM....

Waiting... like looking for the perfect woman... you could play that game until the end of time. It all comes back to what's most important to you. I really love my 12 sport. It's not perfect, but don't be fooled. There is no perfect car. If that's what you're looking for, no matter what you buy, you'll be disappointed when it's all said and done.

Follow your heart and never look back once you make your choice. :)

You've saved so far, if you're really curious about a new model just wait a few more months (save even more) and worst case you could still get a 2012 with a bigger down payment!

I can't agree with this more. If you've waited that long to save up the money to buy a z you might as well hold out for a few more monthes to see what's coming up. You got nothing to lose. Saving money is not easy so don't make yourself sorry.

You've saved and waited for a 370Z not a redesign which may or may not be coming soon. You may need to save longer for a newer car so I'd take the close out deal now.
