2009-10 370Z bad??

10 used cars to avoid - MSN Autos read an article on

Here is a quick article that msn posted on top ten cars to avoid. The 09-10 370z made the list. I am in the market for a 370z and am wondering how much legiticy this story holds.

Members, is there a concern for this from what you have seen? If it were you would you buy a 2011+ only?

Thanks in advance for the help.

I wouldn't say it's bad. There are a couple things (steering lock, etc) that you should be aware of so you are going in with open eyes, though. I'd read up on the car and make sure you are comfortable with the known issues, and then make a decision.

That article has been discussed and it is generally not accurate. It is rush & fluff.

The reviewers of this car for the most part seem to not like this car. probably cause they get no payoffs.. im sure most of the ppl on here would agree that they are full of it . i have a 2010 with no issues . yes if your getting an 09 or early 10 you will have to read on the steering lock issue . mine is a late 2010 and fuse has been removed .

:iagree: I'd buy my 2009 over again. And I've had a issue that Nissan fixed.

I own a boosted 350 now. Looking to boost the 370 also. Any word on if there are issues added into boosting an older model?

As long as you do it right and get all the supporting mods you will have no issues. There are a lot of members on here boosted for quite some time now and most have little to no problems. GL and hope you get a 370 soon!

Actually, reviewers loved the car when it first came out. Then they started getting payed to hype the next cool thing.

Don't have problems with my 09, just be aware of the possible issues.

I was very happy with my 09 Z, unless you want some of the very minor updates that occurred in later years I would buy an 09. Just be meticulous in your search.
