test pipe sounds

I wanna purchase some test pipes for my nismo but I want to make sure they dont give my car a raspy sound. Can anyone help me out

It's going to be raspy... If u have a stock nismo exhaust it will be very noticeable, will become less noticeable with aftermarket exhausts.

I have Megan racing axle back

It'll be present, but not bad IMO... I have berk test pipes with top speed exhaust at the moment and I like the sound... Had a nismo exhaust with the test pipes prior and the rasp was much more present.

I've heard the motordyne art pipes help cut down on rasp.

Having heard the Megan exhaust in person, it will be quite raspy with test pipes. . May wanna consider a different cat back. Others like fi, cnt, or invidia will have MUCH less rasp with test pipes. If not, art pipes will be your best bet. Or maybe a resonated test pipe

I have ART pipes with AAM short tails, an axle back and the rasp increased with the increased exhaust flow and sound of the ART pipe. I have since put my cat back back on and there is no rasp at all.

:iagree: I did the same thing with my muffler delete, put it on (already had the TP's installed) and I couldn't stand the sound/rasp with both TP's and axel back so I put the muffler back on and will wait to get the CBE I have been saving for, as that combo seems to have little to no nastiness/rasp!
