AEM intake

Has anyone had any experience with the AEM ETI intake? If so, would a tune still be required to further balance out my A/F ratio to be safe even though the intake talks to the ECU? Also have Stillen CBE. Would like to know before spending extra cash that's not required to spend.

I actually have had them on my Z for like 500 miles now and I feel the throttle response gain since day one...The whole reasoning behind the ETI is so your ECU wont have a problem adjusting to the extra air flow. So If you ask me with them alone you dont NEED a tune, with more bolt on's, TP, CBE, ETC...then you should get a tune for max gains. I only didn't like how much higher pitched it made my exhaust sound so I am thinking of selling em. Let me know if your interested.

Cool, thanks.

I noticed immediate gains on the dyno after install and AF's were in line to what they were before I installed them. They do a great job. But yes... my car sounds like a pissed off liter bike at full wail.

I have had mine for about two weeks now. I also had ART pipes installed at the same time. The power is noticeable, I can't really comment on the change in tone because of the ART pipes and AAM Short tails. I think tone will be determined by your exhaust, cats, test pipes or long tube headers in IMO.
