Just kidding [kinda] , but yea a clock would be kind of pointless with a Nav screen.
Maybe switch it out for water temp or oil pressure.

+1
boost gauge
i think the clock gauge is useless when i drive a car i like because i wont feel the time and i dont want to know the time :driving:

+1 for the boost gauge too!

As for the stock navi clock and all that good stuff, that "OK" button by-pass would be fantastic... When I'm driving the M35, every time I want to use the voice command after I just started the car, I have to hit that button. It drives me nuts sometimes. That OK button isn't just for the navi.

Also, I want the bypass so I can use the Aux video input while the car is in motion. I want to hook up my N95 to the video input so I can have my Nokia home screen up.

digging up a old post!
i want to see if there's sumthing to replace the clock gauge thing too..
if only i knew the size for this.. replace it with a defi or sumthing

guess you could always throw an Air to Fuel ratio gauge in there.....

theDreamer 08-02-2009 05:13 PM

I think an oil temp gauge if you could wire it up to monitor it.

Chan Chee Hoe 08-02-2009 06:32 PM

The clock is nice if it is with hands not digital...the oil temp & voltmeter is using needles why the clock is digital.?I don't understand what Nissan is thinking.

drdre8424 08-02-2009 06:58 PM

maybe im missing something, but i dont see the purpose of the Voltmeter?

wolf41779 08-02-2009 09:28 PM

Some one HAS to make it a digital speedo. I would buy one immediately. Our speedo is kinda small and I feel like Im better at gauging my speed by what gear im in and what RPMs im at. I do like the way the clock looks, but I have the nav so I have the back up.

This gauge would be perfect I think, although they don't list Nissan as a compatible vehicle. I'm not sure why it wouldn't work thought...

These are all the things it can pull from the OBD2 port. The two red lights can be programed to go off when a number from one of the options selected below reaches a certain point, sorta like an alarm. Its a pretty cool gauge but It does cost some bank. There is even one or two ports on the back so you can install your own custom sensor.

# RPM
# MPH
# Intake Air Temperature (post Intercooler)
# Ambient Air Temperature (pre Intercooler)
# Engine Coolant Temperature
# Exhaust Gas Temperature (PCM Calculated)
# Transmission Temp. (auto trans)
# Manifold Pressure (vacuum/boost) displayed in PSI
# Fuel Temperature
# Battery Voltage
# Battery Temp
# Injector Pulse Width in msec.
# Injector Duty Cycle (%)
# Air Flow Rate into engine
# Long Term Fuel Trim
# Short Term Fuel Trim
# O2 Sensor Voltage
# Barometric Pressure
# Ignition Advance
# Base Spark
# PCM Spark Adjust
# Fuel Status (open/closed loop)
# Wastegate Solenoid Duty Cycle (%)
# Knock Retard
# Knock Sensor Raw Voltage
# Throttle Position Percentage
# Throttle Position Sensor Raw Volts
# Calculated Net Horsepower
# Engine Load
# Transmission Slip
# Current Transmission Gear
# Torque Delivered to Transmission

# Brake pressure
# Brake Booster Travel
# Steering Angle
# Non-driven Wheel Speed
# Lateral G's
# Yaw
# Fuel economy (instantaneous and average)
# P-ratio - pressure ratio MAP/Barometer
# 2 user configurable analog inputs*

To bad you can't get it in orange to match the rest of the car.

This looks like a better value actually. Get to customze the background and everything on your computer. Pretty expensive like the one above though.

but does anyone know about the diameters on the clock and such?
it would make this alot easier wouldn't you guys say?
