It's been a great run guys

Just wanted to say thanks and it's been a great run and a fantastic time on the forum. But i plan on staying a member and keeping in touch.....

Had to make a tough choice today with a growing family and traded my beloved 370 in today on a new Maxima. But with the maxima it wasn't so bad. It's a pretty darn good 4 door sports car. even with front wheel drive and cvt trans.
the paddle's are a nice touch.

i got the model with the sports package that came with 19in wheels which look will close to the 19in rays on the 370. the car is quick, well built and drives great. anyway guys thanks for all the good advice the last couple of years.
i'll be around.... because i love the 370 brand and won't to keep current on the car......................:tiphat:

Bucketlist2012 11-13-2012 08:08 PM

Maxima's are nice cars...A 4 seat Z car....And they look Good too...

Z-Girl 12 11-13-2012 08:14 PM

Nice trade...I can NEVER go back to FWD though. Atleast you stayed in the family and the Maxima is sexy!

SPOHN 11-13-2012 08:19 PM

Mod that baby

OldGuy 11-13-2012 08:41 PM

Big restyle next year if you could wait. Current big rebate is tempting, though. Good car, either way.

You're that guy from the commercial who stretches his Z out. That commercial makes me so sad.

sonic370 11-13-2012 09:26 PM

Yeah at least I kept it in the family. The 5 grand rebate was hard to turn
down. It's not a Z but the cars got some balls 290 hp
but the fwd will take some getting use to. Coming from the 7at
I thought I would be Disappointed but really it's not all that bad.

Hey, I had a Maxima before my 370Z, a few things, either get the Stillen or K&N intake system, THEN go on eBay and look up Altima y-pipe, its a company called RacingLine, from Canada, they make a cat delete y-pipe, no CELs great quality, and lastly, if you want a Stillen under drive pulley, hit me up, I have one brand new in the box!

Enjoy the Maxima, I miss mine at times, it sounded amazing with my mods and it was plenty quick!

You made a good decision for your family. You'll be back in a Z in the future. I love the new Maxima's. Any pics of the new wheels?

Cool wheels, but I actually meant pictures of the his new car (wheels). I thought about my mistake after the fact. Thanks for the pictures though! Sweet car!

LakeShow 11-13-2012 11:06 PM

Congrats man, got a Max as well. Great car for its purpose, and not to mention its got some balls in that V6. The leg room and head room is great and the trunk space. We got a G37 also and it's just so tight and it longer in overall length.

Sonic, You made the right choice for the greater good. Did the same thing for my family years ago, never regretted the decision as kids and a good wife brings happiness as well. Left a 280Z back then and guess what??? Now have a 370Z. :icon17:

Work hard, be a good dad and the Z will come back to you!!!

Mr&Mrs 11-14-2012 05:20 AM

Sorry you had to let your Z go but family is first.

I like the Maxima but personally I would have gone with the 3.5 Altima Coupe (except looks like they stopped making it). Same engine, less weight, and your kids don't really need their own door, do they? :)

Left a 280z back in the day, now I have a 370Z as well. Be a good Dad and take good care of your family, everything will come back to you later in life.

New Max not out till Spring of 14 as a 15 model, Nakumura has stated this. This car and the new Z are still in early developmental stages per him.

There will be room for other sports cars later on in life and at least you had the sickest color z on the market for 2 years.

The Limited Edition 12 has them but the are the 18 inch style and the 13 SV Sport has the same style rim as the 12 SV Sport in the pic I posted but Gunmetal.

Congrats, my Wife has an 11' Max in the greenish blue color. She forced me to upgrade my BMW 325i after smoking me. She even raced a modded SRT4 till she hit the limiter lol. I didn't provoke it either, she has a heavy foot. Now she wants an exhaust.

obito 11-14-2012 06:33 PM

nice one, but from Z u should go to Mercedes C class or E class

While *I* dread having to go 4 door, moving to the maxima isn't too bad. A solid choice in my book. Congrats on the addition to the family!

My Mom is on her last year of a 3-year lease driving a 2010 Nissan Maxima. I think it's a better all-around car than the 370z ( maybe because it's a sedan) . . . I have a soft spot for Sports Sedans: more so than for sports cars. The two things I don't particularly like about the car are its defining characteristics , haha :
1. Front wheel drive
2. CVT transmission

My Mom loves her car. She's starting to look at different cars for her next daily driver. We've driven new BMW 328i Xdrive, Mercedes-Benz C300 4matic, and Cadillac ATS4 3.6. She wants to try an Audi A4 next. I asked her if she'd like to try an Infiniti G37 or 370z. She wants something completely different from the Maxima, so no way . . .
