Randy, thanks for designing such an awesome car. This will be my first Z when it arrives. I ordered Carbon Silver with a 7AT and sport package. The wait is killing my wife and I. I have to say the counseling is going well though ;).

That's cool. I'm glad to hear that you still visit from time to time. :) You went to all the really nice places...missed Boracay though. Go there the next time you're back. :)

I love the color of the Infiniti concept coupe. It almost looks like a pewter metallic. I wish the Z came in this color silver.

What I love most about my Z is how the design and the performance are integrated. We can all think of great looking cars that were dogs under the skin (Tiburon, or Probe, etc). But having a sports car that lives up to its skin is special.

Randy should be especially proud that his design is helping Nissan expand its draw outside the base of the Z-car loyalists. While this is my third Nissan, I've never owned a Z. In fact, there are only one or two Z's that have ever really gotten my juices flowing from a design standpoint, and I've never before owned one. Frankly, I thought the 350 Z was too derivative of the TT, and I didn't think it all came together design-wise. But, I love my new Z and the design is one of the most important parts of the ownership experience!

Over the years, I've owned about 10 sports cars, among which were an '67 MGB-GT, '61 Alfa Romeo Guilietta, '65 Mercedes 250SL, '64 Porsche 356C Coupe, '67 Corvette StingRay, '83 Honda Prelude, '01 Audi TT, '01 Mercedes SLK320, '05 Mazda RX8, another '06 Audi TT, and now the 370Z. Each of these was a car that I loved to see in my driveway every day, and looked forward to driving... :driving: um, some more than others ;)

My new Z is at the top of the list with my favorite cars I've ever had, and its design is a major part of its appeal to me! Thank you Randy (& your team at Nissan)!

You've owned some pretty cool cars and Im sure you'll be quite happy with the Z. It isnt the fastest car out there but its still pretty damn fast and handles like a champ and I think the rev match is just brilliant.

As for the Essence I never worked on it but it was designed by a close friend a little more than a year ago.

That sketch I did in 2005 and its a bit exaggerated to more of a exotic proportion or forms but thankfully some of it was able to translate into the car you know own.

beautiful designing Randy!

I've always liked the styling cues of the 240z.

Now that the 370z is in my garage I am content and will NOT be changing any exterior styling...however, aftermarket exhaust, hfc's, and a cai are definately on the short list of mods to come...:driving:

Great job, excellent job. Very creative and imaginative. It was a brilliant way to bring back some, in a new refined way, of the very first design lines of a Z, a Datsun Z...
I am very delightful to see the 370z's on the roads.

Excellent job Randy Rodriguez a.k.a 370ZRR :)

Thanks for the design randy!! Im loving my Z! You make us Filipino proud! Thanks again.

tvfreakazoid 04-13-2010 09:59 PM

I wonder why they wouldn't do that. That is sweet. And another power bump would be good (370 or more)! You don't see to many cars with the removable hard top.
