Z limited at 250km/h

Hi all,

My Z (from EU) is limited to a top speed of 250km/h. No, I don't reach that daily :driving:
But out of curiosity you know how remove this limit? Software only I presume? Any idea of the cost?
Is it something a Nissan dealer can do?
Thanks!

Who knows, do you really need to go after than that?

uprev will take care of that.

@LakeShow not at all as I said, just curious :-)
Thanks for the link.

EDIT: no dealer in my **** hole, obviously...

I see you're in Belgium, like me. I'd give Tom a call or email at Custom Import Arts. He worked on my R33 GTR; Apexi PowerFC and clutch install. He's the only one I'd trust around here to work on my 370z and he has already tuned some other Zs with UpRev.

@FireDan
Oh, a Belgian! :-) Cool, thanks for the hint.

Off topic: do you go on tracks sometimes? I was looking for some Belgian partners to do so...

I'm actually an American living in Belgium. I'm in the military and live/work near SHAPE/Mons in the South.

I love going to the track and have done some track days at Spa, Nurburgring, Clastres. I've gone to Zolder and Zandvoort but haven't drove on the track there. Unfortunately it looks/feels like winter is here and I will be putting my car in storage soon.

I have read in several locations that the stock top speed is drag-limited and not governed. There are a variety of upgrades you can do to break that limit - uprev tune is probably the easiest/least expensive method and turbo or supercharger is probably the hardest/most expensive method

Arnold. Ive hit the limiter here on the Autobahn. 155mph or 250kph. So you did find it. Alot of German vehicles have the same speed limiter at 250kph.
There are a couple of German tuners if you dont have luck in Belgium.

Enjoy the car no matter the speed :)

this is not true. ecu limits top speed on these cars. there are plenty of people who have gone over 155 with that taken off
