Clear glass interferes with the exterior design and look of the car. That is why every auto manufacturer's ad you see has cars with blacked out glass, even the front windshield.

Also, it's not just the heat you need to worry about. The sun's UV rays will kill your interior pretty quickly without some form of protection.
