So why is everyone selling their Z's?

Minus the reasons of having a baby, buying a house, moving, crashed it, got laid off, blew the motor, or deporting, what reasons are people selling it?

Personally I'm probably keeping the car for 5-6 years. I'm already bored of the power, and the amount of money spent for full bolt-ons/tune or boost comes with unsatisfying gains in terms of hp/$. For handling the curves and drifting, it does well, but the straights leave much to desire.

Retiring.

Just take it to the track. Makes you appreciate the car in its natural environment.
Straight-line power gets put in perspective and becomes boring after that.

I seriously don't understand why some people want to measure the Z based on how fast it runs the quarter mile. If you want something that's going to blow you away in straight line speed, and you bought a Z, you obviously didn't do your research before you bought the car.

I bought the Z for it combination of styling and respectable performance. I still think it's the best looking sub $40 sports car on the planet. That's enough of a reason to love my car... and keep it.

A handful of members is not "everyone"

It's a car, people buy and sell them all the time

kensnismo 10-11-2012 10:12 PM

Hey 6mt retiring was the reason I bought mine had to slow down a little.

:iagree:

Lots of people buying them, too. And not everyone's going to like the Z when they own one. We all have different needs in our vehicles.

Stop talking sense. That's not how fanboism works.

Your/They aren't die hard.

ShinyBlueZ 10-11-2012 10:47 PM

If I had the extra cash I'd buy a second Z, to use as a winter car.

Zoren 370 10-11-2012 10:52 PM

Who's everyone? In here? Sorry wrong number.

LakeShow 10-11-2012 10:53 PM

Cause the Z is slow, it's ugly, overpriced, underpowered, horrible ride, mediocre handling, horrible exhaust and cabin noise, cheap quality materials, ugly interior, oil temps send you to limp mode, steering wheel lock will kill the car, makes the 5.0 Mustang seem like a Bugatti Veyron compared to the Z. Did I cover it all? :stirthepot:

ShinyBlueZ 10-11-2012 10:56 PM

I don't even care if that was sarcasm.. get off my forum, LakeShow.
