I traded the Camaro for the Z the day I drove away from the dealer the 2nd time with the power steering still whining.

Literally, THAT day.

I DID get $1,800 back on the 5 year extended warranty....used that to put a nice stereo system in the new Z.

I won't own another American made car after that experience.

Honestly that sounds like a GM issue. I won't own a GM product. Total pieces of crap.

They gave a Camaro convertible to Motor Trend to compare against a 5.0 'vert and... the top leaked. :icon17:

I think the car made the decision to let us both live.

Probably didn't want to be buried at the bottom of a lake with both of us.

Back on track... Z and 5.0. I love both. There are haters on both sides but that's life. I feel bad for them.

For me it's about the same.

Stickers have them comparable, so I would imagine it being comparable in real world.

Nice writeup. I have the Base 2013 Gt for my daily driver. Almost got another 370z, but, like the OP said, for a daily driver, the mustang is just a bit more comfortable and not as low, even after lowering mine. I did eibach springs, 275/40-20s and front Brembo upgrade to mine, but all for looks.

Exactly the same for me. I am getting 21mpg.

The Z's sporty feel works for it and against it at the same time, i was attracted and bought my Z for the same reasons you sold yours

Now why would you take the time to post something like that on our forum since it is not a mustang forum? duh! The fact is, you bought a FORD, it is a FORD. Give it a few years of ford reliability and then post another review not to mention how well it holds it value.. Welcome to the land of thousands and thousands of mustang owners out there... lol

I think the OP did an honest & good review of both cars. An open mind is an intelligent one as well.

The OP is a Z enthusiast who's needs have changed, nothing wrong with him buying another car. I for one, appreciate him taking the time out to share his experience with the GT. Who better suited to do this than one who was just a recent Z owner?
