MY car did this from the start, i only have 2800 miles and 2012

rolling slowly in first or reverse sometimes creates the sound too

Mine is a 2013 and did it at the dealer before I bought it,it normal it is a noisy throw out bearing.

henryy370z 10-06-2012 10:05 PM

Ohhh ok thanks I was getting worried

Macey370z 10-06-2012 11:13 PM

Yeah it's normal

KERMIT 10-08-2012 08:34 PM

It's the gears in the trans, normal for these cars, it is just a lack of focus on NVH during design of this car.

Its normal with this car. In fact I love it...makes you feel your in a GTM car. Wait till you hear the chatter on a lightweight flywheel
Your OEM clutch chatter is nothing as a "WISPER"

My Z32 had some as well but when you are outside a 370, as it goes into reverse, it is louder and more noticed.

Anyone notice any difference in transmission noise when you changed the tranny fluid? (recognizing that the throwout bearing and clutch are never touched by transmission fluid)
