I wouldnt even attempt a hard turn with it off, it already fish tails with it on because base tires and suspension are a joke.

I totally agree with this statement! However, I leave it on when i hit the twisties regardless of weather conditions.

I leave it on most of the time...but when I'm in the "spirited mood" (like you all are saying) I do turn it off...when I first got my car I turned it off and burned through 1st and second with a pretty low rev launch

I dont know why you have a problem with the base tires and suspension...I can get the tail to kik out if I want to with or without VDC.

EMPTY LOT + RAIN + NO VDC = :happydance: :driving::bowrofl:

I turned it off once, just once, and I got rear tail spin like crazy. It was fun though nothing like doin a lil vdc off drift. :stirthepot::driving:

only when I race for pinks and need a 10 second car instead of 13 :driving:

normally.. ON because I'm afraid of dying. glad my baby keeps me in check sometimes. been a few turns when VDC came on and afterwards I was like "hmm if I didn't have VDC on I think that might have been a problem" :tiphat:

and I agree that one time VDC was off it was fun but never will I drive that way again. I was about to be like that GTR driver. Well actually not really, I regained control right away. :driving:

TreeSemdyZee 10-03-2012 12:27 PM

Have you considered that maybe the "weak link" in a VDC off driving scenario ISN'T the "base tires and suspension"...but...just maybe...it's the skill set/confidence of the person behind the wheel?

Just sayin...

VDC off now most of the time. Except when its raining, then its on for sure.

I used to be one who left it on and was scared from hearing the stories, I remember turning it off first time and gunning it in 1st on a turn, lol....wooooooooooo...almost lost it...

But now, its off all the time, I only fish tail or slide when I am 'trying' so I have obviously learned how the car behaves much better. Knowing how to take a corner helps too lol

If you dont know what the terms, "Understeer", "Oversteer", "Plowing", or "Lift-off Oversteer/Snap-oversteer" means, your fingers shouldn't even touch that little button.

That said, if you know what any of these conditions are but have never experienced it in a car? Tread lightly.

Wat? That's the drivers fault more than the car.
