2009 370z Doors problem or not?

I've had this car about 2 months now and never noticed this until today. I was shutting my driver door much slower than normal for whatever reason and I noticed when I got about 3/4 way shut I ran into what felt like something rubbing and you could feel the vibration. Looking into the open doorwell could see nothing wrong and visual inspection doesn't show anything that appears to be rubbing. Even tried some WD40 into the joints and moving parts. so, i go to the passenger side and do the same thing? holy crap same thing? has anyone noticed this, seems awfully odd it would be on both doors so I'm assuming this is normally can anybody close their doors very slowly to see if you run into the resistance or scraping feeling at about 3/4 way through.

Thanks
Kevin

Lower your sodium intake and watch the red meats.

Never found an overwhelming need to close my door slowly.
Don't worry about it.

:iagree: This should fix the problem.

It's the depressions in the door joint which allow it to lock at 1/4 open, 1/2 open or 3/4 open. You're hitting it slow enough where it will drop into a depression where it will jerk into place. Likely not an issue whatsoever, and since there isn't a creak, whatever.

You might be tripping the window sensor too. Unlikely as you'd see it.

I have not had this on my 370. Eventually it sounds like it might break. Good luck.

You should've gotten a miata..

its either a bad/worn out door check(plastic piece that props open the door at set intervals) or an improperly adjusted hinge/hinges...

has your car been wrecked? had fat chicks hanging out the window whilst leaning on the door?
