1M is a waste of money. The 135i is the same exact engine so why pay 20,000 more for a car with the same motor.

M3 suspension and wheels?

Plus it's an M, rather than a lame 135i badge. :ugh2:

Plus the 1M was only about 45k where as 135i is listing at 39k and 135is is 43k... not much difference in price really. Not 20k difference.

Granted, 1M prices are much higher now, now that they're out of production.

If it's not broke, don't fix it. Why does the engine need to change to make it worth while?

It makes significantly more power (the #'s BMW released were super conservative), it's a few inches wider and has a beefed up suspension on a car that already was sporty. It looks super badass. The interior is much nicer and sportier. And as mentioned above it wasn't that much of an asking price.

I don't know why you'd want an M3 with that thing on the market.

Last time I checked it was 63k for a 1M. I don't know now though. But why not just buy a 135i, buy some coilovers and get a JB4 tune with catless downpipes. You'd be smoking almost everything on the road. For 38k the 135i is a steal. Don't get me wrong the 1M is a great car, but I just would not spend that much money on a 1 series.

I would like to get something vintage. A Jaguar E-type is what I really want.

LOL you clearly havent driven the e9x m3 to even compare them together... i can understand if you were comparing maybe a e46 m3 to the 1m, but the e9x m3 is a total different car compared to the 1m....

Oh wow just saw this post. I greatly disagree. The Z isn't made for pure performance, it's made to be a pure sportscar. I don't care if electric would yield better anything. It would dilute the Z name and what it stands for. I believe if it is electric, a lot of the ppl here who said next gen z will change their mind.
Sorry. Back on topic..

GTR for sure. Almost bought one off a friend for 66K and ended up buying an M3 instead. Hated it though wish I had got the GTR. So got rid of the M and bought my 2012 Z and a daily for now. Want to build a twin turbo z for fun. New GTR will be in the garage though for sure.
