Mercedes Benz Wheel Design Stolen from 370z?
Found something interesting. Was building a C-Class Mercedes on their website earlier as discovered that this wheel thy offer looks fairly identical to the 370z Sport Rims as far as shape and angles that you typically wouldn't see from any other manufacturer. Take a look and what you think about it.

They kinda do ! Haha except these look more sqaure-ish and flat

well considering Mercedes and Nissan-Renault have partnered up, it might not be appropriate to say "stolen". In fact there are already plenty of rumors that the next Z may have a Mercedes engine. Mercedes meanwhile will use Nissan-Renault chassis design for their next b segment hatch.

I am not sure which came first on this as I think Lexus first released these wheels on their 2009 sport IS model but I would call it out that someone stole this design from someone then:

Audi had a similar design on the S5 in 08. Stolen is a strong word when it comes to rims. On top of that... Mercedes/nissan partnered up.

It's just a wheel trend. "Bicycle spoked" wheels were a big thing for a while too.
|
Stolen maybe not, just thought it was quite funny how similar they were.

stupid replicas.

Imitation is the ultimate form of flattery.

For that matter...ever compared the stock NISMO rims to the Corvette Grand Sport rims? Those two are as close or closer than these comparisons.

I think Nissan designed it the best. . . it fits the sharp edges, curves, edges of the 370z
