Anyone know any legit car sponsors?

Hi everybody, I was wondering if anyone knows any real car sponsorships that give you free parts and such, and in return you advertize there logos and wear there shirts and go to events to show off the parts they give you?

You need to be a serious show contender and get some exposure first.

GTHaus did a sort of sponsorship thing when the Meisterschaft first was officially released to the US. I kinda crapped out because I had trouble fathoming the cost. Since then, I haven't heard anything about anyone doing large sponsorships.

No one is going to give you anything for free if you have a stock Z. There are tons of them around... build your car to be unique and known and that may give you some pull in the aftermarket parts world.

I have had legitimate sponsors for a lot of my cars, including my 370Z and the game is always the same. Support the people that support you and stay true to your words. Some companies will require you to sign disclosures and agreements which keeps everyone honest.

Asking for free parts isn't going to get you anywhere. Ask what you can do for them, not what they can do for you. ;-)

Arnolda,

Being sponsored isn't as great as it seems because you've signed a contract to do certain things, like forcefully bringing the car events whether you want to or not. If this is your only car, then forget about it. There's a reason why we have "second" cars.

Before being sponsored, you need to make yourself known and popular is variety of ways. Do you own a auto shop/business/website? Do you attend auto events frequently and well known in the community? Do you know the sponsors themselves personally? Do you at least have a professional racing license and compete professionally?
