Ever worrried about getting your car stolen?
 

I've been reading on a local JDM forum and stories of people being followed after being at a car meet and just parking at a mall in general and coming out with the car gone just scares the hell outta me.

Especially if your car is flashy and attract alot of attention (Bodykit/Rims)

How do you guys deal with it?

you know... i had a mini heart attack when i was out on the job today ....i was in the truck riding to our place... and what passes us? a Gun metallic base 370z.... my heart jumped in my throat, thinking someone stole it and passed me in it as if loling in my face. ....

come home and there she still was..... but DANG talk about a scare.

:shrug: it's insured, so I don't worry if it's stolen and never found. What I worry about is that someone steals it, then it turns up with $3k worth of damage. As long as it's stolen and no one finds it until the insurance pays for it ... I'm good.

:iagree: I don't want to make it harder for them to try and steel it by putting an alarm on it. Then I'll have a trashed car that needs to be repaired... If they want it take it, and make sure nobody finds it.

Second on the insurance remark. Plus knowing I have extra policy for 10K on it. I don't sweat it.

I don't worry about it either. Worst case for me happened a couple of years ago when someone broke into my 350z and about $3000 in damages trying to get my radio out. It ended up being in the shop for over a month and they had to replace the entire dash. That sucked pretty hard. I got an alarm installed the same day I picked it up from the shop.

My cars are all insured.


I always worried with heavily modded cars that had a lot of sweat put into them, but not for a car that can be replaced with a credit card and a night in the garage.

Very few people steal stock late model cars anyways. Not worth it.

I'm talkin about modded cars.

$4000 Volks and other thousands of dollars worth of JDM parts.

me too.... if it happens i just hope the aholes ripe the crap out of it and it's totaled. but still it would feel bad it's my baby

Like I said. It's best to get extra policy like I did. I added 10K for extras. Yes you pay more. But you worry less.

If your car gets stolen, just look forward to getting a new ride, if you have insurance of course. :tup:

So am I. Just get your car appraised for the full value and sleep easy.

think its illegal to NOT have insurance and drive a vehicle lol:ughdance:....... IF you owe something on it...

id be upset if stolen because of all the work you'd put into it .....and have it all taken away.... money isnt refunded, car maybe BUT total investment? probably not.
