Me dont like black!

I been trying to like the black wheels but it doest seems too look good on my Z cu'z everytime i see a car with a blacked out rims specially from a distance it looks like the person got a flat tire and use a set of four spare tires. The car looks dull and lacking dimensions and details but then i think it's just me . I also asked my wife if i pait my rims with a flat black and she say dont ever do it as the car will look ugly and cheap.

Am i really the only one who dont like blacked out rims, headlight, badge etc. as it seems like most members here prefered black than the traditional silver paint.:confused:

Ya black wheels are kinda played a lot of people have them. I think black wheels are fine but perfer silver, polished wheels. If you dont like black wheels then don't do it if your writing this.

the stock wheels look good in the factory color. this includes the 40th wheels in its distinct darker color.

it really depends on the design

gunmetal is definitely sweeter than most colors.
I prefer gold and bronze.

On certain cars, I think black wheels can look OK. Normally this is only on lighter colored cars where the black wheels contrast more with the light color of the car. But I am not a fan of them most of the time, it makes the wheels look smaller, harder to maintain, and takes away from the design of the wheels. Bronze is a great color for wheels.

And everyone around socal has blacked out wheels. I even see grandpas/grandmas driving around with blacked out wheels, so played out.

haha! So true! I personally do no like blacked out rims... you cannot even notice the design of blacked out rims until you are really up close. In pictures, it looks like just a car with a huge gap where the wheels are supposed to be. I personally like polished or gunmetal color. the OEM color of the sport and and base rays are amazing as well :)

how are black wheels played out? when its still not stock... thats like saying having an exhaust is played out.. idk maybe I dont get the "played out" thing.

Footloose301 07-27-2012 03:25 PM

That's like saying drinking beer is played out.
