Ugh. Yeah, I'm a little tired of every car having black with chrome or polished lip.

No disrespect to early-adopters, it's not that these things don't look good, it's when everyone does the same thing. Somebody has to be the one to try the purple lug nuts first (looking at you, Isamu...)

do not like black wheels, blue, yellow, red, orange...Wheels are metal. I like them to look like metal. Paint is for metal like steel or iron that rusts or corrodes.

It is each to his own.

I'm not a fan of black wheels either. Looks like you stole em off a fork lift. lol

They're actually not bad on black cars but I'd rather something that has a little contrast to it. Just my 2 cents.

It's my car so I'll do what I want. I love the look. I don't what any dummy on her has to say.... I really don't know why I get on here. All everyone does is complain about other peoples cars. If you don't like it don't do it plain and simple. Also, people still drop their mouths when I roll by so I'll take it that it looks good. Most older people love it surprisingly. I guess I have a cheap bad azz looking car.

Especially on a dark car, black wheels look VERY MEAN. My 40th has almost matching wheels so its a bit different being almost a gun metal, but I think my car would not look as aggressive with silver wheels

My wife just picked up a Black X5 today and got the M package Black Rims. OMG does her truck look evil now. The fact that cars now come with black from Factory means the general public has definitely warmed up to it.

I know what you mean...its like, I'll see someone in a nice Audi, BMW etc and I wonder...do they actually like the black wheels or did they just want the fanciest package and going with the flow.

"Black played out", not sure about that statement. Probably 1 in 1000 cars have black wheels and 999 of 1000 cars have silver wheels so I guess by that logic silver is played out, lol.

To the OP, you stated right off the top that you dont like black wheels and your wife doesnt so I think you have already made your decision, no need to keep thinking about it.

You have an exhaust because you need an exhaust. Painting wheels is a styling phase in the automotive world.
