So let me get this right, you buy the most expensive version and you get LESS options?

frost 06-21-2009 11:03 PM

yup...supposed to be more "track" oriented

Roo 06-21-2009 11:09 PM

Well you need navigation to get directions to the track! :)

In my humblest of opinions, if they want to do a track model, it should be balls out like that recent dodge challenger.
Give a crazy stripped down track version with none of the amenities, make it super lightweight, and throw some added power.

Disappointed with the reviews so far :shakes head: I really think Nissan should have given this car a bit more power. An intake, an aggressive tune and revised exhaust should have netted about 370 - 380hp at the crank. Oh, and and oil cooler  That way when it was tested against the base or the touring it would actually post some better performance figures. The one thing that I really like about the Nismo 370z is the exclusivity, but I'm not willing to spend that much and give up factory Nav & Persimon leather for something that wont really out perform. Hopefully they do something better next year, otherwise I'm keeping my touring.

I saw up close yesterday @ Nissan HQ in Costa mesa, CA. I gave it the benefit of the doubt in thinking the pics didn't do the car justice...But uhh, I wasn't impressed.

Nismo 370=Zojirushi and Nissan collaboration.

Easy fellas on the "my Z is faster than the Nismo" based on ONE road test. That's presumptuous and foolish. One test proves nothing. There has been tests of the standard 370Z 0-60 from 4.7 all the way to 5.2sec. The Nismo weighs more or less the same as the base sport but has +18hp...unless it defies physics it will be the fastest of the 370Zs. Lets wait for more reviews to judge.

With that being said, I'm happy with my touring+sport and would rather spend the extra $ to customize to my liking:tup:

Fo' sho. Don't know why Nissan didn't subcontract GTM to do this, and make a very limited amount of them a la Stillen SMG 300ZX twin turbo?

If Nissan and GTM collaborated with conservatively 400HP boosted 370's, man, you could easily get like $50,000+ for them.

This thing could've been a Z06 competitor.:icon17:

Just saw one today. Got a call from the dealer and they said to come check it out. Looks as good in pics to me but nothing crazy about it. About the only thing I was excited about were the wheels. Definetly going to get a set of those to put on my Z.
