This is the Edmunds' Inside Line 2009 Readers' Most Wanted Awards. Unlike the Inside Line Editors' Most Wanted Awards, which honors only a handful of vehicles each year, the 2009 Inside Line Readers' Most Wanted Awards covers more ground. This year there were 15 categories organized according to vehicle type and price range.

Because it's 2009, only 2009 model-year vehicles were included in the voting and price classifications were based on base MSRP, be it under or over $30,000. The Best Concept Car category, of course, had no price restriction, because, well, it's a concept car. You should also note that the awards will be given to the specific trim level listed. In other words, the Ford Mustang is the Ford Mustang and the Ford Shelby Mustang GT500 is the Ford Shelby Mustang GT500.

Now, read on to see if any of your favorites made the cut. Then check the results against our 2009 Inside Line Editors' Most Wanted Awards. Believe it or not, sometimes editors and readers like the same machines, and sometimes we don't.

Below is a list of the 2009 model-year vehicle winners in each category, and we've included a few comments you guys sent in along with your votes. Thanks again for voting, and congratulations to the winners.

Speed Under $30,000

And the winner is the 2009 Nissan 370Z.

It has the most power.

Best bang for the buck.

Still a TRUE sports car. Nothing comes close.

I've driven all of these, and it's the one that makes my heart race. Every time.

Best overall value, reliability, performance and street appeal.

Rev-matched downshifts!

Not only is it the best-looking car in the class, it has the muscle and grace to back it up.

Because it reminds me of the original.

A Porsche for the guy on a beer budget. Champagne gives me a headache anyway.

Closest I can get to the GT-R.

Cayman performance for under $30K. Yes, please.

It also won the instant classic award:

Instant Classic Under $30,000
And the winner is the 2009 Nissan 370Z.

Cayman performance, 1/2 price.

Two words: Awe. Some.

The Z is already a classic.

This is a BEAUTIFUL car…except the fuel gauge. None of the others really stir up the visual emotions better.

Beautiful car with incredible performance and low price = instant classic.

The swagger is just untouchable.

Best Z ever produced…period.

Killer looks, super strong engine, and the rev-matching system makes any regular Joe seem like a seasoned track vet.

Pure sporting fun, for under $30K.

Aside from the GT-R, the Z is the face of Nissan.

Because it will blow the doors off any other model on this list.
