370z...best handling car available?

sounds like more of the same BS from when they tried to explain why they wrecked a NISMO. Somehow the mustang stopped 12 feet faster on the first stop, which doesn't make any sense with the puny rear brakes it has.



I don't understand how they couldn't get a 370z to handle better than a mustang. I have driven both and the 370z handles WAY BETTER



I always knew Car and Driver was biased, but somehow they overheated the car WITH AN OIL COOLER and overheated $600 NISMO brakes pads... sounds like they just want an excuse.... :shakes head:

Final results

Yeah I had that mag and kinda hand-waved it. The reviewer sounds biased tbh. Also if there's a lotus-anything for under 40k i flat out guarantee it handles better than any of those cars.

"Nissan 370z is less fun to drive than a mazda miata and/or a mini cooper" Gonna go ahead and tune out now.

Did you replace a 370Z with a Mustang? Why? Do you agree with this article?

This article completely blew me away when it came out. I have driven the mustang 5.0, Evo and own a Z. While the Evo and Z for me are a toss up... I find the mustang to be capable but not as well poised as the Z. Maybe its driving style, tastes or whatever. I felt the Z to have the best median of power handling and fun to drive factor... as far as brake fade... I put my brakes through hell on the street and off road. I never felt any fade unless I spend an unusually long time beating them up... Now I have upgraded rotors, pads lines and fluid. My brakes are near indestructable... when I get the stillen brake cooling kit I I'm sure endurance will improve.

Car and driver has always belittled nissan products. Its strange because they are the first to hype them up and the first to nitpick on things that 75% of the owners can't find. The only issue on the Z that holds true is starvation and limp mode. And I never had starvation issues... there's just been enough of our brothers that have exposed the problem to acknowledge it.

This topic has been beaten like a dead horse on this forum. Do a search and you can find gobs of discussion on the matter.
