Ooops, I forgot to give you my opinion in my previous post. If 10 is the riciest (scale of 1-10), my scale says...oh dangit, it just broke. Even rice would look less ricier than that ricer.

Everyone here can post their opinion, no matter how popular or unpopular it is. But it is also a place to be made fun of. If you're going to state your opinion, it may get heckled, but at the end of the day, it's ok to be different.

Even when I say something looks terrible to me, it doesn't make a lick of difference. It's not my money being spent, and as long as the owner of the vehicle gleans some enjoyment out of it, then who cares?

at least they move forward in their rotation making it easier to get in and out of the car. lambo doors work on big lambos because they are designed from the get-go to have them. they don't work well (nor look good) on pretty much anything else :rolleyes:

This is outright false. People go ape **** at the smallest sign of a lack of knowledge. Serveral times I have asked a question and basically outcast. Look at my comment for more details. This is not a friendly welcoming community to anyone without expert knowledge in cars. Unless you are a female that is. It doesn't matter, the Z can't handle 1.21 gigawatts :( we'd need to upgrade the oil cooler for that.....and vents....lots and lots of vents.

It's perfectly alright to be different. But if you're going to put an attention grabbing mod on your car, you're going to get both positive and negative attention for it.

What I was saying is that if you want to do it on your car, it shouldn't matter what other people think, as long as you like it yourself.

This site can be helpful, but this site is not completely free of trolls and jokers. I'm sorry you're all butthurt about conflicting opinions. I've been ridiculed in the past, and outnumbered with dissenting opinions. It happens.

I've been called an idiot for my interior. Had people dis it. Had people laugh at me. But others have loved it. And most importantly, I love it. Haters gonna hate.

Go look at the first couple of hella flush or slammed fitment threads that popped up. Those got ugly. But guess what, people still did it, because that was their style.

I'm not butthurt :P If I was I wouldn't still be coming to this site. I'm a part of a much more inviting local Z Crew here in WI, so I tend to ask mechanical and technical questions there now, since it's ok to do that there. There are still plenty of cool people here to converse with about cars, so I stick around.

I agree with what you're saying though. I thought you meant to say it's ok to be different here (this site). But yes, regardless of this site it's ok to be different. If no one were different everyone would be the same, and that would be boring. In fact you can already see the carbon copy Z's on this site appearing already, and stuff is becoming played out.

I also agree that if you ask for opinions, especially on lambo doors, you will get both positive and negative feedback. That's the entire point of having an opinion :)

I disagree with this sites tendency to attack peoples intelligence or character because of an asked question or a modding choice. That is beyond having an opinion, and beyond having a decent discussion on the matter. I did this myself, and felt bad about it, when I first joined this site in order to try to fit in. I quickly learned that it doesn't really matter if you try to fit in or not, if you havn't been around forever, or have expert knowledge in cars, you won't get into the loop anyways.

All I'm saying to the OP is that there is a good probability he will be attacked personally(not heckled, attacked) later down the line even if he doesn't get lambo doors. So he should just take the opinions of some of these people with a huge grain of salt.

er...the OP asked for an opinion and he got an honest answer from the community....granted with some humor. Just because it wasn't positive, doesn't mean people go "ape ****"

Pro-tip: People on the internet are going to disagree with you. The real question is, why on earth do you care? If someone's being rude, report their post and just move on. If you want those doors on your car and they make you happy, go nuts. No matter what you do, some smug internet *** (perhaps me) is going to make a snide comment about your car or how theirs is better.

Odds are will never meet any of these people in person. Who cares if scrooge mcduck's stage 4 turbo deathcar will blow the horrible vertical doors off of your base. Use this forum as a knowledge base and maybe you'll end up making a few friends.

^ agreed, there is only 1 reason why there are Forums out there, whether its Cars, Games...whatever. your all there because you have a interest as does everyone else. and your at that one particular forum because you are connecting with people whom share the same common interest as you. Allowing a Vast majority of people to come together, talk whatever shop you may be into and occasionally Meet and greet in person.
