some people are just crazy

i had a experience today on my way to work i wanted to share. it seems to happen once or twice a month. i'm driving in the right lane just listening to some tunes going around 65 to 70. when this hillbilly, i'm from texas i can call him that.

gets right on my xss and stays there for about a minute or so then comes around me like his xss is on fire and gives me this look that. what the hell are you doing driving a 370 at normal speeds. is it just me but do some of you get passed when your just minding your on business and get that look like what the hell man you bought a Thoroughbred and your driving it like a mule..............

lemon-fresh 07-16-2012 09:27 PM

Dunno, depends, were you driving at or under the speed limit?

dmhenderson 07-16-2012 09:29 PM

In the right lane it shouldn't matter. That's what the left lane is for.

kenchan 07-16-2012 09:46 PM

yah, i have those. usually pickup trucks with female riding shotgun missing teeth. lol

dmhenderson 07-16-2012 09:49 PM

Check to see if they have a "THIS PICKUP IS IN MEMORY OF {some guy who died}" decal on the rear window. That's the acid test.

Thechidz 07-16-2012 09:50 PM

had it happen just yesterday, a mental midget teenager in a really LOUD mustang flew up behind me on a Two-lane highway with cars going slower in front of us. The d-bag was acting like he was gonna try to pass and there was tons of traffic coming the other way

dmhenderson 07-16-2012 09:54 PM

Yeah I had a guy fly up behind me in a lancer evo in rush hour traffic blow by me from a rolling start at a light (me = full stop) and begin weaving crazily in and out of heavy traffic to get by me while his friend waved to me.

Cool I guess?

but you're in a pink Cube, no?

dmhenderson 07-16-2012 09:55 PM

BROWN. It's a BROWN cube.

dmhenderson 07-16-2012 09:55 PM

Also no, that was in my nismo.

FlawlessZ 07-16-2012 10:11 PM

Yes this happens often, jealousy. Fucker in a sonata just cut me off on my way home while approaching a light. I'm glad to say I gave him a nice present as well. :D

No matter how you say that, it is funnier than hell.:tiphat:

Tribalpinoy91 07-16-2012 11:20 PM

I don't whenever I'm driving, it dosent matter how fast/slow I'm going...everyone wants to stay further back or keep steady in my rear and hesitate to pass! :D

Apoc370z 07-17-2012 12:08 AM

happened to me today,

A M3 turned into the same canyon road i normally take to go home using the slower lane (for some unknown reason) and ended up behind me. Knowing how much of a douche he is based on the way he sped pass/cut me off prior to the turn, i decided to toy with him by going the normal suggested speed which is 40 mph.

he honked and flashed his high beams the entire way home

dP3NGU1N 07-17-2012 02:04 AM

I must admit I am guilty of doing this quite often on the highway, however, situation's a bit different. LA has ZERO lane respect and often the slowest drivers end up clogging up our freeways to ****. eg: 60 in the left lane while all other traffic is going atleast 70. So I'm speed up and glare at the sh**head who's messing up traffic.

I believe it's c*nt rags like those that create "phantom" traffic. I'm sure everyone knows what I'm talking about - those moments when traffic comes to a halt in the morning and you imagine that someone MUST have died to stop traffic like this. Only to find that 30 minutes traffic just mysteriously vanishes like a fart in the wind...

Sorry for thread jacking.

It's freaking brown. I will take some quality pictures of it later on today. Went out to get the paper and a bird decided to use it as a toilet last night so there's crap all over it but I think it adds to the vehicle's character so I'm just going to leave it like that.

Edit: Looks to have been a very large bird or maybe a dozen of them.

DjSquall 07-17-2012 07:35 AM

Sometimes when I see some other kid racing through traffic, I will catch up & pass him, then keep weaving in front of him at speeds below the limit... And wouldnt let him pass.

Yeah I know, I'm an a$$hole.

What I hate about LA is driving not 60, but 85 MPH with a car in the the fast lane ahead of me, and some jerk is tailgating a foot off my bumper. I let him by and he goes the 40 feet or so ahead of me to tailgate the new fellow ahead of him. I pull in behind him and now a new jerk is tailgating me.

Very similar story where I live. I have no problems with everyone driving the speed limit, unfortunately a lot of times you get road blocks of cars all driving 10-20k under the limit. Then there are the people who come to a complete stop in merge lanes or simply don't shoulder check/pay attention until the last second.... /rant

It happens to me many time thats when im driving a prius lol a big chromed grilled redneck truck will tail gait me for like 5min and the only way i can loose him is to drive ridiculously slow making it too painful for him to follow me and as soon as he overtakes me i will press power on my prius and flored it , you can hear my twin scroll turbo kicking in and the nitrous oxides starts feeding my cylinders and next thing you know he's already 1 mile ahead of me.. :excited: and then i woke up day dreaming. I just want a turbo prius...... :icon23:

UNKNOWN_370 07-17-2012 02:17 PM

Dont even get me started... lol. If you're not driving a camaro, corvette, mustang, or challenger in tx you get road shyt for driving rice. And for some reason, its always the azzhole in the pick up that wants to drive like he's in a ferrari.

In California, it is the Prius driver's.. They are some angry, pompous people.

Then they tell me that they laugh at me because they are getting 40 to 50 MPG and I have to buy Gasoline, and I am a fool.

So to one up their righteousness, and pompous attitude, this is what I say.......

You should see their face get mad RED when I tell them I own energy stocks that pay for my food, gasoline and Home heating and everytime THEY but Gasoline, FOOD or pay their home energy bill, THEY are paying me, and I drive for free...:owned:

Kinda takes the wind out of their argument....

Now that is GREEN energy...Oh I was in the Solar business 10 years and I wouldn't own a green stock if you gave it to me... When I tell them that, they flip out and say I am killing the earth with fossil fuels and they hope I die...

I find that even funnier, and tell them to have a nice day and thanks for my Profits...They storm away MAD...

Tell me about it... It seems here in tx,there's a lot of social pressure to buy pick-ups and SUV,s. My in-laws tell me i drive a girls car and" real men" drive trucks... ok?????? I don't really care though... I love Z's and the non-cheezy side of jdm and nissan culture. Something they'll never understand. I could care less about driving a pickup. I may possibly need to haul or pull stuff once or twice a year. I can borrow one of dozens of trucks my friends own if i needa haul locally or rent if i need to haul long.
i notice a hint of jealousy in there tone when i talk about my Z. If i mention a new mod. they start talking about how good there trucks are. Its silly and babyish so i just don't talk about my car to anyone except my wife and a homie of mine and that's it. I'm not into that jealous envy shyt whether giving it or taking it. Its just too corny. I disassociate myself fast from elitist and envious mentalities.

If someone if coming up on you - move to the right. That's it. This complex rule has evaded the knowledge of 95% of the public. The good news is, a sports car makes people move over pretty quickly, usually when im speeding up the left lane, all cars will move once i get near their back. Like one after the other, they know its a sports car and that im coming up on their ***. And if they dont move i blow by them on the right. The perfectly crappy situation was when i had a suburban right on my ***, flashing me in the left lane, i was stuck behind a car going super slow, and the lane to my right was totally blocked and i couldn't get over.

Luckily i live in West Chester where there are no redneck losers in trucks. Its mostly nicer cars. And if you drive up to King of Prussia mall area its 100% BMW/Audi/Porshce/Benz...i love it. Used to live in Williamsport PA (college) where they drive nothing more than 80's or 90's rusted trucks with very oud exhaust. No, it doesnt sound good, its just pure sh!t noise. If i had to move up there again id sell the Z, its that bad in terms of roads/weather/community.
