The main reason my parents even let have a nice car and like the idea of me having a nice car is because I am very responsible. I don't speed, I barely drink which is surprising for a 16yr old, absolutely don't drink and drive, I don't try to show off or anything like that. Shoot, I don't even mention my car to anyone unless they ask me first. Also, the big reason is because I am more mature and resposible than most 16 year olds. (might have something to do with being raised around girls?") I have even already graduated high school 2 years early and plan on starting college in the fall and I even plan on going to med school to be an anesthesiologist. So I'm for sure not gonna be an idiot if I get one, lol.

I got an idea. Buy a college beater get your degree as a anesthesiologist etc. then get the job and buy your car. Problems solved. Damn that makes so much sense and I am starting to sound old and practical. LOL :tiphat:

^^^This..

What we have are wants and needs.. This is a good time to start that mindset..

Because trust me, you will battle wants and needs your whole life..

If you can be more practical to start, and start that pattern now, then get your degree..

Trust me, you will be quite successful and have everything you want.

Because if you cave in now, and start that pattern, later you will buy the new car rather than save money. Buy the new toys rather than wait and invest for the long term.

If you just gotta have it, start with a low miles 350Z.. Because do you plan to live at home and have your parents pay your insurance into your early twenties ? Or do you plan to prepare to be out on your own ?

Something to think about...Wants and needs...:tiphat:

If your parents are truly going to pay for your high insurance rate then that's one less thing to worry about. I can relate to you and I know how much you want this car, and I hope you can get it. But most of us here have been in your shoes when we were at your age, so many of us are looking for your best interest.

You really need to do some more research and think about the big picture. For starters, how much do you drive? This car costs me around $80 to fill every 1-2 weeks, $1,500+ in tires every 1.5 yrs, $80 every 3 months in oil, plus random mods. These are the expenses you have to keep in mind with this car. Now throw in your $450 m/ payments, rent, food, utilities, and fun money e.g. drinks, clothes, girls, etc...

If you're going to pull all this off, you'd better have a good source of income, or you'll be living on a very tight budget.

When I was 16 I drove Cadillac Walkalade.

Sounds like the kids got it together. Does anyone really NEED a z? No but we enjoy them. If he can afford it he should get what he wants sounds like hes a hard worker and he doesnt want a 350z. My only recommendation would be get an automatic rather than manual because at your experience level the manual pawer could get away from you
