ok someone on here has to explain isntagram to me.. i completely understand what it is, but why is everyone nut hugging this free photo editing software when its very similar to photobucket or any other editing software.... seems like 9 out of 10 pics i see come out of instagram come out super grainy (uber low res) and over exposed looking.

The filters they have make the pics look "trendy" and retro. It takes a few seconds to snap a pic on your phone, add a filter and upload it w/ Instagram. It's not really photo editing software, it's more like a mobile photo-sharing application. The reason they're grainy is bc they're all taken from a mobile device, and edited on that mobile device. Just a quick way to take a pic, add an effect and share it. Hope that clarifies a bit :tup:

Or if you have a new phone aka HTC one x it has filters built in that you can play with on your camera without having to use that goofy instagram :P
