Nismo License plate surrounds

Hey guys and gals,
I just bought some Nismo license plate surrounds for my non Nismo... Yay or Nay?

I got them just because I think they look nice, not trying to pose as a Nismo or anything They're black with the Nismo logo.

Don't understand the big deal. Isn't Nismo Nissan's version of TRD or SVT. Aren't there Nismo OEM parts for a variety of Nissans?

Hanging a Nismo plate frame is totally different from sticking an actual Nismo badge on a non-Nismo 370.

Ehh... it's still NISsan MOtorsports. I see nothing wrong with it. I have a NISMO shift knob in my 370 .. because I love it. I actually had it in my G35 Coupe, G37 Coupe and both 370Zs. Nissan is Nissan is Nissan.

DEpointfive0 06-19-2012 09:19 PM

Yeah, but there arent any Nismo parts on the car anymore, lol... I'm just trying to see how much bitching and moaning I'm going to get from other 370 owners... I know one local guy was like, no, it's not a Nismo

And I just think it looks nicer than the dealershit one

The NISMO model barely performs better. It does.. but it's a small difference. NISMO is Nissan.. whatever. It's not like you are buying a G25 4-door and putting G37 labels on it.. that's misleading. NISMO is Nissan Motorsports. The 370Z is a Nissan performance car. I think it's fine. Some may not, but who cares?

I hated my dealer plate frame, it was a big chrome Cadillac frame. I looked around but didn't find any that I really liked, so I wrapped the dealer one in 3M di-noc dry carbon look and I really like it. It's essentially "temporary" until I find one I really love, but it's actually growing on me.

As far as Nismo goes, do what you like. There are a ton of factory Subaru WRXs with a bunch of factory STI options on there. STI on the seats, STI on all sorts of stuff, guess what, it's not badged STI. It's not my style to do that, but again, it's just a license plate frame.

Actually it's a Nistang and its the 3.7L V6. People often confuse it with the 3.7L V6 in the 370Z
