Who makes, and where can i get...

Who makes, and where can i get OEM brake pads.

Call me crazy but the OEM pads are pretty awesome for daily driving. Don't dust badly, and don't make lots of noise in the winter.

I don't want Hawk HPS or HP+.
EBC is crap.

Let me know what you have out there! Thanks all.

The dealer is not a good place to purchase discounted parts.

Apparently not considering a search of 'OEM Brake Pads' in the Suspension and Brakes Marketplace section of the forum renders the following:

http://www.the370z.com/suspension-br...ric-power.html

http://www.the370z.com/suspension-br...e-package.html

http://www.the370z.com/suspension-br...available.html

And many others... Sure they may not all have OEM pads listed, but they are VENDORS. Their job is to find the OEM pads for you!

So nobody knows who is the manufacturer of the OEM pads huh? Or nobody wants to give an honest answer.

Endless is the manufacturer.

Z1 lists Stoptech Pads not OEM.

 Unless you want to call Nissan USA to see who they source pads from, there's nothing wrong with going with another low dust, low volume, high life pad... like the Posi-Quiets. They are 99% identical to the OEM pads.

But you totally missed the point of going to a Vendor with your request for an OEM set of pads, and they tell you $$$ and they're yours. :ugh2:

Here

I don't know who makes them.

Yes...we are withholding who the OEM supplier is for our amusement. :stirthepot:

You are not going to be able to source them direct from the OEM: they go through a distributor and nissan parts network only.

Your best bet (which was implied with the 'search' comments) is to grab the part number from any place that has the part online, and then compare it with various online nissan dealers who do offer discount mail order parts.

Find the best shipping and you are done. I have done this many times with Nissan, Subaru, Mazda, Honda parts.

Prices change, so I can't suggest just one best place.

One thing to consider: if you just need pads in the end it may be less expensive to just go to the local dealer and get the parts.

When you add in S&H any savings could be negated quickly. When buying many parts at once, then mail order can really help.

I agree on the compound of the OEM pads: they are excellent for street driving and I see no reason to go aftermarket with the Z. :D
