The items in the packaging in th cargo area are:

IPOD connector wire (if so equipped)
The front license plate if you want to install
The air deflector which installs in front of the right front tire/wheel
The air dam which is installed under the front chin (AKA chin spoiler).

The dealer I bought my car from stated that some customers do not want these items on their car so they give the buyer the option to have it installed before delivery if they want it. We bought one that had the chin spoiler installed and it does look good however it decreases the ground clearance in front and if you enter a parking lot or driveway with 2 people in the car it does drag the chin spoiler a bit.

I would consider driving it for a week or so before making that decision. These cars are low... and these parts make them even lower..

what exactly is the air deflector and why is it only on the right side?

it's actually 2 pieces, one for the right and one for the left. they are the ones of each side of the center "chin spoiler" which the spoiler is circled in red. you can see the right deflector right behind the spoiler

ah, thanks. I thought thats what it was but then you only mentioned the right side so I thought maybe it was something else. Thanks again

I think it's the camera attachment that allows you to shrink the pic to a decent viewable size.

Sorry bud, yes there is a left and right side. So did they install the front chin spoiler only?? I can't tell from the picture.

Do all 370z come with the left and right air deflectors? Mine dont have it.

Zbrah 05-09-2014 05:32 PM

All 09-12' have em' maybe the 13-14' do not. IMO you should be glad you don't because all they do is just scrape the mfin earth whenever I'm going over a dip, no matter how slow I'm driving and take the dip side way.
