Have you owned a car faster than a 370Z ?
At one time I had a 1965 Griffith., which weighed less than 2000 lbs., powered by a Ford 289, 275 h.p. V8, and could do 0-60 in under 5 seconds. Not bad for 1965 ?

Just got rid of this...470hp, 3200 lbs. I actuallly like the Z better...it's not all about horsepower!...

Is stock EVO9 quicker than stock 370z?
I used to drive EVO9(friend's car) for a week, i think EVO9 was much faster than 370z. |
Here was my little beast; I put down 360whp/360wtq on 93pump, mid 400hp on 106 Octane.

Had a
91 300ZX TT modified to approx 400 bhp Stillen Stage 3 2003 350Z with 330rwhp Still have a 2005 C6 Vette, it was supercharged with 515 rwhp, but ran too hot on track so it is NA now, and only 390 rwhp. Was going to do a stroker engine, but bought the 370 instead, and will just keep the C6 as is. |

How about a bike?

My last car was an 05 STi with 275whp and 308wtrq. It was faster in a straight line. I think with HFC's and catback the Z will be almost as fast as the STi was in a straight line, and might be faster around a road course.

I haven't really researched my numbers and i'm not sure what the setting is in which we are comparing but I've owned a Lotus Elise and a Z4 M Roadster in the last year. (Yes, it's been a good year.) I feel like the M was a little faster, definitely more torque. I know the first time I put it in sport mode and really got on it, I realized that I had never driven anything that fast in my life. :rofl2:
Ok, I had to see the numbers, 370z 0-60 in 4.7, Z4 M 0-60 in 4.8, & Elise 0-60 in 4.9. So they're all within a tenth of a second of each other. I guess the answer to the question is no, but I will say that out of all of them the Lotus was the "easiest" as far as shifting and the whole driver factor is concerned so if I were putting my cars against each other the list would probably go Elise, 370z, M Roady. :) |
