HPDE Time and I need someone to check my sanity...
Okay I have a 370z w/ Sport Package and the mods listed in my sig. I'd like to run a HPDE which i have done 20-30 times in the past in my VW. Now that i have the 370, I'd like to see if I'm missing any modifications that might be required to perform a safe track day.
Let me know if i missed anything!! |
Save the brake line money and move it toward rear pads to be safe. I would go for the 25 if you plan to do any tracks at over 80F ambient temp

You've got it covered- I have 19 row and worked fine last summer in NJMP.
First few times always felt I woudl forget something and need it in the paddock - so I put together a list (below) and go thru it a couple days before leaving for the track day. So far it worked for me and I don't keep thinking what did I forget this time. Pre track General safety check, all fluids, leaks, tightness, intake, exhaust, brakes, brake lines, tires, under car check, any changes Change to Race Pads- torque rims Empty car- mats out Wax doors - easy # removal Check Tire Pressure Car gear Track Schedule - Paddock/Track times Car #’s Racing Helmet Tool kit Extra Pads Tire Pressure Gauge extra Oil Q Windex micro fiber towels Tow Hook Spare, jack Hotel reservation/ confirmation # - address Track Address- NAV data Plastic Bag (rain) Go Pro - all accessories, Charger, Cable, cases etc IPhone, PLX, GPS, Charger Cooler Sports Drink G2/ water Long sleeve cotton shirt |

I think XP8's on just the front are fine. Then by the time you wear those out and feel more comfortable pushing the Z harder, you'll might want to go for XP10's in front and XP8's in back. There's a lot of info in the track section here too. |
STILLEN BRAKE COOLING KIT. That's all your missing
