Has anyone gotten a phone call from Nissan about an automotive questionnaire?

So when i got home from work today, I got a call from nissan asking if they could ask me a couple of questions about my recent purchase of the 370z. I figured, "What the hell, I'll answer this guys questions..." So he asks the normal list of questions, "what do you like about the car?" "What do you dislike?"

So after all this, he tells me that I qualify for another survey. Initially, I thought to myself, "crap, now that I answered one survey he's gonna ask me a shitload more!" Instead he informs me that I qualify for some kind of owners study at the Nissan facility in Costa Mesa and that if I attend I get a $150.00 visa gift card. He further explains that the purpose of this study is to understand what owners like and dislike about the car, and what changes can be made for improvement.

I decided that I would attend. It's only an hour long, and $150.00 for an hour isn't too shabby.

So has anyone else gotten a call like this, or is going to this?

Also, asides from an oil cooler, what improvements do you think I should voice?

Yes. Turned it down. Without investigating who they are in detail I will not attend.

hmm... I've never had any experiences with this... I figured it was just R&D for new cars.

Any particular reason why you're cautious about it?

It's a focus group...Very common in the industry. I got invited to one for the agency vying for the Porshe account years ago. It was interesting...Cause they asked me to videotape my driving for a week (had a 993 at the time)
I also used to observe the ones we did when I worked for Honda (Motorcycle Division)

So wait, is it free? As in, are they flying you there?

Well the facility is only 25 mins away from my house. I'm assuming they're going to use california locals?

But, to my knowledge, its free. If you don't count the expense of gas to get there. lol

You should go, and just lay it on the line.

I'd love the opportunity.

Unfortunately, it will do nothing for our existing model Zs; the changes are obvious.

No one's mentioned this ... but we need a way to add fog or driving lights.

The HIDs are real good. But some of us (who like to drive when the roads are clear, late at night) like a little more, and changing the color temperature of the HID bulbs isn't our idea of an improvement.
