Question about wheel well noise - '12 Z

Having come from an '08 maxima to a 370z has been a refreshing change; however one thing that stands out slightly is the level of light to mild noise coming from the rear. Not so in the sense that its noise straight from the hatchback from the outside(because I was used to a closed trunk area in the previous car; but mostly the persistent water hitting against the well noise when you're driving on wet roads/when its raining outside.

Is there any way to dampen/eradicate this? The constant stream of splash?

Never found I can hear any water noise but you hear every grain of sand that the tires pick up and throw into the wheel well. I honestly don't find it to be bad at all compared to some on here but a bit of [insert brand here] sound deadening will make a nice difference.

You get used to it after a while.

i tried following that thread for a while but got tired of following 30+ pages of info. was it determined that a little dynamat or any sound deadening material of that sort on the inside of the car (under the rear cargo area where the spare is) will lessen this noise?

It's worth the investment. In an hour of your time you will learn a great deal.

"sports car" doesnt have to go hand in hand with road noise. (see bmw, porsche, new 5.0, etc..)

Notice how 2 of the three cars have high premiums and the 5.0 we all know is a GT designed for dual fuunctionality and cuts corners with cheap suspension setups etc... no offense to mustang owners,
The Z offers 8/10ths cayman S @ half the price. There will be cutbacks. A little extra noise is a small fee for the performance level. I personally don't find the noise level bad on most roads. I got used to the tock thing soo...:driving:
