but if you're installing the amuse spoiler...why does it matter?

twinturbonet 05-04-2012 10:52 AM

Damn, sucks.

He could end up selling his car and want to put it back to stock and sell the aftermarket stuff...dunno just a thought that popped in my head.

GaleForce 05-04-2012 10:57 AM

Maybe he wants to sell it to offset the cost of installing the Amuse spoiler.

tjlazer 05-04-2012 11:02 AM

They broke mine too. They scratched up my hatch in the process. They fixed the scratches and as far as the broken spoiler: I just let it go. It's a PITA to remove. Not their fault.

+1....... :iagree: The question is what are you wanting to-do down the road possibly.

tonybui 05-04-2012 11:30 AM

Not converting back to stock any time soon but they gave me carbon tint for free. And they will fix the spoiler :)

+1 it really is hard to remove.

MattP725 05-04-2012 01:28 PM

Still I get it is hard but it is their responsibility I would think... if they can't take on the liability they shouldn't do the job. Sounds like they are making good on it although it would probably be cheaper for them to buy you a new one.

PapoZalsa 05-04-2012 01:32 PM

They break it , they should paid for it. It doesn't matter if he was or not installing the kit.

phelan 05-04-2012 01:36 PM

well it sounds like they owned up to their mistake, and then some. good customer service if you ask me.

but hypothetically if they didn't, there are better arguments to whine over than a spoiler you won't use again. just my thought though.

LakeShow 05-04-2012 03:09 PM

It's good that they are helping you and fixing the damage.

SPOHN 05-04-2012 06:57 PM

Did they even offer you anything?

Mike 05-04-2012 07:34 PM

mine did too. they offered to fix it, but what was the point. I would say anyone who removes it without breaking it is extremely lucky. Some things aren't designed to be reused.

Shotta 05-04-2012 07:49 PM

How are they getting broken? Is it the double sided tape thats holding it then it breaks trying to peel it off the car?

Im going to swap my factory spoiler out sometime soon but these problems make it sound like the hardest mod to do on the car.

If you are talking about the front Sport Pkg spoiler that is hold by rivets. You have to drill them out.

Mike 05-04-2012 08:55 PM

the rear spoiler. its bolted on and has very sticky double sided tape all around the permiter. its inevitable that it will break when removed.

Baer383 05-04-2012 09:14 PM

I took mine off and it didn't break.

See if they can fix it and paint it.
