... looking forward to the results - I've got the exact same parts that will hopefully be here tomorow. I'm mostly curious what the overall performance gains are as opposed to each individual gain.

These bolt on intake/exhaust gains blow me away. On my 280ZX I did a header, 2.25" SS pipe, high flow muffler, resonator tip and K&N intake gave me around 20-25 HP gain - thats almost the same as just addind the G3 intake. I guess it shows how restrictive the intake/exhaust is and how well the engine already breaths.

...of course its tough to beat the sweet sound of the straight six.... a V6 is just a stereo version of a straight three :P

... Dang it. It seems like I missed out on this opportunity too. I live less than 2 miles away from Stillen. :(

Hi guys,

We're looking for a local 370Z that's in stock performance trim (suspension, wheels, body upgrades just fine, maybe preferred) for some testing.

Perfect opportunity for someone looking to do the full package of upgrades:

- STILLEN Cat-Back Exhaust
- STILLEN High Flow Cats
- STILLEN Gen 3 Intake System

We're offering a discount, free installation, and free dyno testing for the use of your car for a day (2 max)...

Your car will be featured in a prominent magazine as they review these parts.

Please PM or email directly at josh @ stillen.com..

The car would need to be immediately available.

Thanks!

Dang! I was out of town for 1 day and missed your offer (and I live just a few miles from you)!

BTW, are the Stillen Cat-Back Exhaust and HFC CARB approved?

Catback = yes, HFCs = no

D@mn - hardly anyone in CA would install the HFCs then...

Hey Stillen guys - is there any hope that CARB will approve the HFC system? If so, any estimate on when? Thanks!

Josh@STILLEN 06-11-2009 06:47 PM

Apparently it's not hard to find someone to install them, but I wouldn't know anything about that. We do not install them on vehicles driving away from our facility.

Beyond CARB approval, it's actually a Federal regulation that the factory catalytic converters are not to be touched for something like 50-60k miles.

So no, don't look for CARB approved HFCs (the cost alone to get it approved would be prohibitive), and forget about test pipes. :D

Well, the shop I work at, my attached garage, doesn't get audited much so I should be good.
