Evo R foglight
 

I just got my Evo R fog light and I will be installing it this weekend. I looked through the forum and found some useful info and how too. What I did not see a lot of was issues with the light and wiring.

I was wondering if I could use the rear plate lights. (you know the lights below the license plate under the trunk) to connect the solid light and then connect the other wire to my break light.

I also wanted to see if it mattered which tail light I connected the rear fog light to.

Any info would help.

If you are going to tap into the brake light wiring you might as well tie into the running lights there as well. I pulled my driver tail light assembly and ran the EVO-R harness through the gromet and made the wiring connection on the inside of the car to keep the connection out of the weather elements. One of the DIY's has the info on what color wires in the harness to tap into.

I did mine on the driver side tail through the rubber grommet. If I remember right I wired to green on the tail for on and red on the tail for flashing under braking. Make sure you tie the wires up away from the exhaust.
