I'm off to do the research!.................

:icon18:....... Well that is going to be a very very slow & sticky process there big guy. You might get stuck on one site & one pic/video for quite some time. We will need back-up on this one FOR SURE. Lets break this down & be team players here.

The next generation of Z's hopefully will have a lot more power (supercharger, turbo or TT), beefed up suspension, 20's, bigger/better brakes & all around a bada** BEEEEEOUTCH.

Just receive the May issue of Playboy yesterday and read the next “generation Z” will be a 2014 390Z. I get all the car magazines and do not recall any of them ever mentioning a 390Z! Maybe the secret was revealed in the “Grotto”!!

Post a pic of that page otherwise :gtfo2:

:bowrofl:

Or.. you can post the pics of the rest of mag :yum:

03-13 are the only years that an n/a v6 was the only option.

69-83: inline six [that is 14 years]
84-96(99): v6tt available [that is 12 years, depending on how you count]

03+: NA V6 is the only option [10yrs and counting]

The NA v6 only is certainly not the way the z car has been the majority of it's run.

he never said NA v6 only (perhaps implied though?)

technically:
69-83: I6 (14 yrs)
84-96: v6 (12 yrs) & v6tt (12 yrs)
03-13: v6 (10 yrs)

22 yrs of NA v6, vs 14 yrs of I6, and 12 yrs of v6tt

:tiphat:

Considering he was arguing with someone who was speculating that the next z might be TT, I'd say it was definitely strongly implied.

You mean people are driving Z's that are NA?

:bowrofl: Please post links and videos to any information you have found so that everyone here can actually see it. If means having to watch some girl on girl action, that's not a problem cause we all really want that Z info.

I know there are articles about talks of possibly making a smaller z to compete with scion fr-s and subaru brz. Maybe that might be it?

Is a new smaller 370Z in the works at Nissan?

I just don't see a hybrid system fitting all of the above goals for a sports car like the Z quite yet.

First I think we're going to see a lot more turbo's and SCs across the board for sportier cars that attempt some claim to fuel economy, then hybrid versions later. Hybrid technology is getting better but it's not quite ready for mainstream sports car applications. The Fisker Karma and Porsche Panamera hybrid are paving the way however.

Well see it cuz infiniti has one hybrid and one fully electric sports car coming out veerrrry soon. If I'm not mistaken? The next gen G will have the 3.7hybrid as an option as well. I don't think the Z will stay using the VQ. I think the 3.0TT makes the most sense too.
