There were some sunflower seeds that came out on my passenger side floor when I opened the non recirculate vent . so basically let the air from outside come in without the power on. Tons of seeds fell in the car , pisses me off but I got it cleaned up. Does the non recirc draw air from the vents by your windshield wipers ? Have to get to the.bottom of.this thanks guys .

It sounds like you have a rodent infestation. Have you let the car sit for an extended period of time?

Eh car sat week here and there... Is that where the air non recirc draws from though ? I don't however think Alvin is in there currently, gah any recommendations ?

first area i would look is your blower. see if you can find seeds on the micron air filter located behind the glove box. check diy for how it's done. it's only 7 screws to remove to get access.

thats why i dont let major league baseball players ride in my cars anymore. Are you sure they are sunflower seeds? pics? it would be hard for a solid object to travel thru the HVAC system and then come out only one vent. i suspect someone played a prank on you.

lol, i took it all apart cleaned it out the filter did its job to say the least... Bird seed (sunflower seeds) is what was in there. We have some bird seed in a garbage can with the lid on it in the garage but sheesh there was a lot right above the blower motor on the filter. I can't really put my finger on what happened but not a single piece of **** from any of the so called mice that were playing around in there.. Doesn't make much sense but i did find some of the foam that is on the hvac recirc door was in the filter as well (very little). Anyways it's all cleaned out put back together and now there is a mouse trap sitting right under my car as i pull in :)

Another thing nothing was chewed or anything (besides the few pcs of foam that could come off those hvac doors fairly easy) then again nothing really in there that cud be chewed up. O well, there is a nice thing of peanut butter on the trap waiting for him :P

Well now you have some birds seeds to eat.

Blah I guess it is kinda funny lol... O well all cleaned out and its pretty easy to remove the glove box , but ya hopefully the mouse trap ends this
