Doing that can "flood" your Charcoal cannister, get you a CEL and a No-start..

Happened to my daughter a few times with her Mazda 3 until the dealership told here what was going on..Stopping at the click off is the best technique..

That's usually caused by the automatic kick-off being too sensitive. Some stations aren't calibrated correctly for it, and they pop off easily.

Okay your car must have talked to mines because today the last light finally lit up too! Weird.

Or maybe Nissan read the post and uploaded a fix via bluetooth. lol

Usually when I fill up I FILL UP with every last ounce I can get into the tank so as to keep my fuel stops as infrequent as possible...of course, I usually don't fill up until I'm actually going somewhere and/or traveling so whatever gas is in the tank get's used pretty quickly (or at least steadily)...at any rate I've never had a problem doing it that way (maybe I've just been lucky). ;)

I filled up yesterday and the last light on the fuel gauge did not light. I drove back to work and let it sit after lunch. When I went home the last light was on and has been on. I think I will keep an eye on it.

mine has done this twice as well the light always lights up after i turn the car off and back on again... i have no clue why its doing this

Lolz ... 370's are psychic !!! Well, it seems like it's not jus our cars doin this so I guess we gotta keep an eye on this ... Maybe it's jus a sensitive fuel gauge sensor inside the tank ...

So did you bring in your car to fix the issue? Because I just fueled up again today it did it again !!! I'm pissed and ready to make Nissan fix this ... If any of you guys that are experiencing the same problem please let me know if you got this fixed and know why it's happening ...

no i didn't it hasn't done it in a while so im not too worried about it

Aren't these guys supposed to be professionals? You really think they'll mess up my ride to fix a simple issue like this? I tried ignoring it and hoping it would fix itself but that became wishful thinking ...

Assuming your average dealer tech is a professional may be a bit of a stretch from many reports here. They're going to have to dissasemble part of your interior to get to the fuel gauge senders as they are mounted in the fuel tank on both sides of the car (guys that have probably never taken a 370 apart before). It's not THAT simple. Personally I'd run a few bottles of Techron through your next few tanks of gas before I'd go that route. Techron has great success in scrubbing Fuel senders clean and bringing them back to full operation..It's worked for me and a bunch of my friends in the past,,

BTW, Senders are just simple rheostat type devices with a contact that moves up and down to make connections with the multiple contact strips and transmit electrical signals to the gauge and cause it to read from empty to full depending on the fuel level. Being submerged in fuel they tend to gunk up and stop reading correctly if good gas isn't used. The look like this:

I have just filled up my gas tank to the brim and my last fuel dot is not lit up. This happened to me last two times too. After driving lets say 30-40 miles, the last led becomes visible again (sometimes). Weird :ugh:

Good info DIGItonium. Your statement makes sense because sometimes the last dot did lit up after driving for a little while. Not sure what's the cause of this.

Yeah mines has been hit or miss these past 7 months. Most of the time it fills up to the last dot. Other times it looks just like your picture.
