Those just look horrible. Just horrible.

bullitt5897 02-09-2009 10:15 AM

I saw them in person at my local dealership and they dont look chrome at all but more like buffed aluminum!

ArtVandaleigh 02-09-2009 02:57 PM

They arent terrible, but i agree the pricetag is outrageous.

Perhaps you're referring to wheels with a polished lip? But definitely not a chrome wheel with no lip whatsoever. But if it fancies you, get it regardless what other people say.

Regarding xDiegox's statement referring to forced induction as a "Civic" status. Hopefully, you're just joking as many motorist utilize this method to achieve more horsepower/torque.

I think what he was trying to say was that unlike a civic, you can't get a forced induction setup on the 370z for $4,000.

Unless they were made of some space age moon metal that only weighed 5 lbs each, I wouldn't pay that much.

o0javi0o 02-10-2009 05:33 AM

In my personal opinion,,,, Those are not for my taste and even worst,,, the aprox, $4K price... nah nah nah.
I think that $4K is way to expensive for a set of rims coming from a factory optional package, lets be specific... Coming from Nissan to a 370z stock. It can be said that it will be somewhat, competitive with aftermarket, as example, rims like Volk, or if you go more "pimp"... Giovannas ( which in average, the cost more), but anyway, for me, they are not that good looking set of chrome shoes.
For me, the best looking rims are the 19" Rays that comes withe the Sport Package, stock. But again, that's my personal opinion.

Carbon Nanotubes well used in Nanotechnology :stirthepot:

Crash 02-10-2009 06:14 AM

^^^ They wouldn't be strong enough. But making a rim in carbon fiber WOULD be a good idea. Or Carbon Fiber/Titanium Alloy. That would be the best.

tvfreakazoid 02-11-2009 07:40 AM

And those would be very affordable to.

yea they are 4300 if you play straight retail through the dealership probably.. thezstore has them for under 2,000.

The Z Store! Nissan-Datsun 240Z-260Z-280Z-280ZX-300ZX(Z31/Z32)-350Z-370Z Parts: Nissan 19" Wheel Kit, 09-10 370Z

SkyZ 03-22-2010 07:03 PM

its an option in canada too.

kenchan 03-22-2010 08:41 PM

yah... no for JDM chromes.... or any chromes for that matter. chromes are for buicks and escalades and chrysler.

JB-370z 03-22-2010 09:18 PM

These wheels are ugly as hell_. 4k on ssr, volk, work, or even advan.

kannibul 03-22-2010 09:46 PM

Funny, I like those rims, and I also think they'd look good in charcoal or gunmetal - but...not for $4300...or even half that...lol

Link above says they are polished forged aluminum...so, not chrome.

And the price isn't that bad - that plus some rubber...might be worth while...lol

I don't know why I never posted this pic. This is from many months ago, last summer.

A yellow Z with those rims was parked in my neighbor's driveway at my former apartment complex. The wheels don't photograph well -- they look better in person for sure. I still think the OEM Rays looks 100x better.

PapoZalsa 03-22-2010 10:03 PM

Too much Bling, Bling for me!!! :inoutroflpuke:

With the type of money I can get a better set of wheels anyway.

370zproject 03-22-2010 11:11 PM

i can see some dude buying those for his crown vic here.. in memphis....

arrachtas3 07-29-2011 12:01 AM

about time somebody said something... they're not chrome, they're polished aluminum. someone who got their Z at the same dealerhsip as me got the rims, with bridestone potenza tires, installed, for $3200.

Nick911sc 07-29-2011 09:09 AM

I'm glad you brought this to our attention :ugh2:

"about time" meaning a year and a half ago?

UNKNOWN_370 07-29-2011 11:55 AM

I been noticing these on the nissan site for a little over a year now. Not really my cup of tea. Besides, they only show quarter pics. They should show the whole car so we can really see how they look.

dnasty370z 07-29-2011 05:56 PM

flop:barf:

butdamnbrian 07-29-2011 08:25 PM

gross.. i always wondered why they sold these as an optional upgrade... makes no sense.

and $4k+? what are they... made out of melted down mazda parts?

Hambone1 07-30-2011 08:47 AM

There was a Monterey Blue coupe at my local dealership with those rims installed, they looked very tacky and trashy. Definitely not my cup of tea...looked more at home on a Mitsu Eclipse
