Reached a milestone today

Well i turned over 40,000 today. kinda felt sad in a way but life goes on...

never have had a ounce of a problem, unless you won't to count the 3 gas caps
it took to keep the check engine light from coming on....

rides as if i just drove off the show room floor.. no rattles or nothing like that..
and it's been garage kept so paint is still in great shape.....

even seems like it might be getting finally broken in!! feels faster!!!
and has never burned one drop of oil.. so thanks nissan for building a close to world class 40 grand sports car for the everyday driver........

sorry to ramble.............

That's not bad, I just passed 20k. I'm planning on keeping my z for at least 10 more years.

Zaggeron 04-13-2012 08:08 PM

Nice. Is it your DD?

Great to hear the news ...Well not that you have 40K miles, but that you have had a trouble free car..

My 350 was trouble free except a window regulator ..67K on it when i sold it..I hope to have the same results in my 2009 370Z..Only 6000 miles so far...

b1adesofcha0s 04-13-2012 08:12 PM

Just hit 40k like a week or two ago

:tup::tup: to both of you guys

LakeShow 04-13-2012 09:34 PM

Congrats man. That's great to hear the Z is still running strong. You can actually feel and tell this is a quality product. Nissan had bad rep in the past with some poorly built vehicles. But since about 2007 their cars have been more quality built than ever. There's a memeber on here who has nearly 90,000 miles and his is running strong as well.

Nismo89 04-13-2012 11:53 PM

i want to be able to keep my Z and show my grand kids

" pop pop what was your first sports car?"

" i'll show you........ there she is, and still runs! i love that car"

unless i trade it for a GTR :P

Skeeterbop 04-14-2012 12:30 AM

I've had a similar experience, but I'm just closing in on 20k..... in a year!!! Damn those cross country trips add up quickly.

MattP725 04-14-2012 07:15 AM

Yeah I just hit 20k myself... your lucky... I have rear hatch spring issues (minor I know) and am in the middle of an oil consumption test... I hope I just misread the dipstick (unlikely but a guy can hope) last oil change.

20k kinda hurt but I've come to peace with the fact that I can have a car with 10k on it that is a garage queen for me to look at, or I can have a car with 40k like yours that I enjoy (and pay for). Mileage don't scare me any more! :driving:

Not quite, that Armada and Titan 04 to Current and 04 to 09 Quest were and continue to help keep Nissans reliability low. I know first hand about the Titan its just a nightmare reliability wise.

Original poster at 40k she is not even broken in yet, VQ's just seem to get stronger and stronger as the miles ad up!

mantella87 04-14-2012 05:15 PM

Congrats! There's no better way to get your money's worth out of the Z than to drive it daily! About to hit 12k myself and will be a "year old" in June.

dennis26 04-14-2012 08:31 PM

Congrats on your milestone. Just hit 8K on mine.

ohioZboy 04-17-2012 08:01 AM

had my z for about 5 months now it was sitting for a month because someone hit me and i didn't have time to fix it, but in the 4 months of driving i put on 8k miles and just hit 30k today!! now it's time to mod, ordered $2100 worth of parts yesterday, significantly most of it going to Tony at Fast Intentions...Thank you Tony for everything!

MacLean 04-17-2012 10:31 AM

Nice & w/o any problems... I hope it stays that way.

When would one start to see, or have a lot of problems (I mean excluding modding the heck out of your car)? I know with BMW & Mercedes once you hit 40-50K everybody trades them in b/c the cars start to have a lot of problems & maintenance is high like a mother.

Yeaaahhh... Vq engines power peak is from 30k to 150k. You get the best power in that range. :)
