nono, jk. the R2C's were nice, i like the response. the IAT's weren't that much higher than stock, which is like 12-15F above ambient in normal driving condition (while in motion). this shows that the R2C's heatsheilds are effective. i am not sure how much more the metal piping adds to the temp post maf, but it gets pretty damn hot if touched after a drive. the post-MAF silicon tubes, not hot at all. the gushing noise the filter makes and the overall loudness at 5K+ was just too much excitement for me. i like the tamer sound of the stock intake so landed with the post-MAF tubes (keeps temps lower with silicon..) and K&N drop-ins. i like the current setup for my flavor, but i suppose if you're into faster responding throttle + louder :yum: looking intakes, the R2C's can net you wat you want. the people at R2C is real nice too. |
JAR- there is no fitment issue on the R2C. make sure your bracket is turned the correct way. :) the instruction wasn't very clear but it has to be oriented a certain way to mount correctly. let me check if i still have picts somewhere...

Hi guys. Just got back from Pa. I will post a couple pics here. Had a good weekend minus the East Coast Z Nationals judging and awards. It seams that 4 clubs organize this event within the Imports and Kit cars at Carlisle. This year you payed $10 and only got one vote for "people's choice". They only had one trophy for each gen. of Z's. They figured out that most people will just vote for their own so 3 of the organizers voted on the cars. There was no splitting of stock and modded. Anyways there where 2 260's one with a hand made daytona body and another a full compitition road race car. They gave the award to a guy that bought an award winning stock Fairlady. For 300zx's they picked one that was trailered cause the turbo was junk and didn't even have matching rims. Oh did I say that they where both members of the organizing body for the show? I was like WTH. Just a note here guys if you or your club holds a show DON'T allow your clubs cars to be judged. I'll post a couple pics in a minute, uploading from my camera. Oh no I didn't win and think a guy with a stock black Nismo did. Not sure.

I know how to search..., and so the story of my endeavor: I did some digging and searching and found that you have never created a thread in the intake section (), so then I had to look through all of your posts for the word "intake" (because searching for "r2c" netted nothing -) and then finally I was able to find some stuff on some "what's the best intake" or something similar thread.... Those twenty minutes I will never get back. :shakes head: |
