Not sure I'll let him again, we almost died when he tried passing. Eek!

Morning Z Fam! :hello: Off to meet some fellow members, but the rains around here will probably reduce it to just me an' Pintsize. I'm looking forward to hearing her new (to her) exhaust in person

Once again, nice to meet ya JAR! (Don't be mad but I've totally forgotten your real name) :p It's been a long day complete with a long drive.

Nope, still on the maybe to do list. Going to be such a pain, maybe you should come do it. :icon17:

Tell me about it! I think my heart has been worked way too hard today. Luckily we only had a little bit of swerving to control and the oncoming vehicle was able to slow down in time. Definitely not letting him drive again, damn kids. :shakes head:

I still don't actually have one but have been contemplating what to get for the Z. Right now, I'm thinking the AVIC 120BT (it will be a great present for the wife's 30th birthday this summer), but I have not researched plans for the next model or when it will come out.

My friend put the AVIC 110BT in his Jeep SRT8 and found out that he could immediately do a firmware update via USB stick to get all the features of the newest model, which at the time was the 120BT. The only hardware difference is the HD tuner added in the 120BT. When the 130BT came out it was only software upgrades - another firmware upgrade and he was basically running the 130BT minus HD tuner. The forum support for AVICs is very good, and the firmware update is hacked and posted in torrent form by a member of the forum, I believe.

Again, I can't say anything as to the use of it with Android devices.

It's James :)

So I didn't make it to Cars & Coffee in Leander today cause I was supposed to go to brunch. However, wife was too hungover, didn't want to go, and so I had the Z to myself for the day  :driving:

Picked up some things at Lowe's and then went to the grocery store (I love using the Z to transport $180 worth of groceries :icon17:) After putting away said groceries, I headed out again, this time to Petsmart and then, after a stop by the office, I ended up at my buddy's place. Right as I'm about to leave, I get roped into helping him reinstall his gas tank into his suburban parked on the black asphalt in 95 degree Texas heat (he replaced the fuel pump and sending unit and the whole tank was sitting on his front porch when I walked up) :ugh2: Remind me never to uninstall my gas tank :rofl2: What a ******* ****** *****!! We finally get it hooked up and don't hear the fuel pump  It was a fuse... better safe than sorry though, it was good preventive maintenance to ensure the fuel pump doesn't crap out on a long trip randomly. He had another fuse in his center console and it worked immediately. Oh well, he'll more than make it up to me when I start asking for help with major work on either car.

Only for a few minutes with windows down. The inside sound was enough to keep us giddy. The kid is a great driver, just shouldn't have tried to pass on a very curvy road and limited passing areas. Not to mention the car we were trying to pass was still a ways ahead of us.

I seriously need to take some classes. When are ya free? :p

Here's a YouTube smoothed out version of the video I took on the drive. Wayyyy too much road noise, not enough exhaust, I need to invest in something better than my phone or flip cam.
Nissan 370Z w/ Fast Intentions Catback cruising down 1431 - Austin, TX - YouTube

Also, stopped by Ace Hardware on the way back from Horseshoe Bay and picked up what I needed to mod my seat! Now to just drag my lazy *** down there to do it......:ugh2:

Went to Caffeine & Octane (with over 500 cars)from 7am to 11am then went to Gwinnett place Nissan for a car show, free food, hanging out with all the Z people and ended up winning first place which surprised me had a great time till about 4pm and cruised home with some bad sunburn on my head.:shakes head:

Driveway Austin Motorsports Academy and Retreat

Their classes are a little expensive, but they are worth every penny. :driving:

Oh yeah, I know about Driveway Austin. $$$ gets in the way. I need a price of "on the house". :icon17:

Seriously though, it is on my list of stuff to do.
