I also have the same problem and the dealer is telling me the same thing. "oo its normal, dont worry about it. I had the axles greased and the sound was gone temporarily. Temp fix. I think so. I am goin back on my next oil change. Its not a normal clink. I have an AT 1st to 2nd clinks when torqued hard. Shift to rverse also clinks. This is a major problem. If you have this problem you must go to the dealer. Nissan of north america will put out a TD on the problem if it persists. But we all have to report it.

Try leaving the car in D or R, set the parking brake, then put it in P. That should eliminate that noise. Also, just a bit of driveline play may be in the diff and tranny prior to putting it in D or R. The slack disappearing could be the source of the clunk as well. Try the first thing, and see how that works. This is extremely helpful when parking at any sort of angle.

Actually try putting the car into neutral first, put the handbrake on whilst foot still on the brake then release the brake ensuring the car is stable then put it into park. This way you will not get any clunk and it is better for the tranny.
