they got me in a new altima for a loaner. a step down from my max, no doubt. thats cool though, it will only make it that much sweeter when my car gets here. i gotta think of a name for her... hmmm new thread.

Might help to consider the fact that some colors retain their 'hue' in varying illumination levels, from shade to sun.

Black, red, orange, blue, white, grey probably are most stable in this regard.
Of course they are full of 'glitter' that will change the effect close up; my 350 Mag. Black looked almost grey in the sun close up due the silver 'glitter' mixed in the paint. Others use multi-color 'glitter'.

Black Cherry, Midnight Blue appear black very easily in shade, but do 'shimmer' a bit with purple, or blue cast. Also, some 12% of men are color blind to reds, and won't see purple in BC. I don't know if law enforcement must be non-color blind or not, probably should be able to see all colors.

BC next to maroon -a reddish brown, burgundy -a darker red & some blue, red, and black looks very different; the side by side comparison makes it easier to see for the casual onlooker.

Here's a pic taken today of my 1200m 2-week young BC, with setting sun in shadow of treeline behind cam. Depending on your monitor brightness, it should look mostly black with leakage of purple haze.

I like the duplicitous, surreptitious aspect, a low-key color.. had option of white but had had a white car before the 350 and wanted some change.

I would really like to see the 370Z in san marino blue (from the 350Z) or any variation of a dark blue

yea 2013 is gonna have midnight blue, which has appeared on some GT-R's

i still like monterey blue the best out of all of them, really awesome color at night too...almost looks like a dark violet color at night in the right type of lighting

i like the montery blue or whatever, its just a bit too light for me. but with the blacked out lights, emblems and handles... fap worthy!
