Ideas for the black rear fog light area

That thing is really unsightly. Does anyone know if I could get a color matched "Z" put on the thing with vinyl? It would be really cool to get a light up Z put in there or have it light up with the brake light, but that is probably expensive and in some way illegal. Any other ideas besides the fog light that comes on the Euro models. I think that is just as ugly.

Get the fog light, tint it darker, and add a vinyl Z in negative so that the whole thing is black except for the Z showing through when it lights up. People behind you will be so mesmerized by the Z that they will crash.

LOL. Not sure you want them to crash but the rest sounds pretty good.

You could color match the whole thing...I'm thinking of this unless I decide to put an overlay on the whole valence..

PaintScratch Touch-Up Paint (rs), Spray Cans, Spray Paint, Paint Pens, Car Paint, Automotive Paint

Honestly i'm just going to order in the OEM rear fog and install it but not have it functional (yet). Just to make it look like it's something.. and will have the wires tied up waiting for something to make it functional. I'm a freak about JDM parts.. so I've gotta have it!

The all black overlay really is a good option.

I am considering the all black overlay.

I've seen a silver one here that painted the entire bottom piece. They made it look like the diffuser. Also, blacking out the fangs looks really good on a PG. It would look great on a pearl white as well if you have matching black wheels.

Another idea: have a shop cut out that piece and smooth it out!

I'm going to mount a "fleshlight" in it and give her a go.

I recall seeing a thread about a carbon fiber trim piece for that lower area by the exhaust tips. It's just a cosmetic add-on/overlay, but that's the route I would choose.

Here's what I meant earlier. This is DannyGT's 370Z, dropped with AME 19s, without the butthole. I think it looks better without it.

I wonder how DannyGT got rid of the dummy plate? I guess cut it out smooth over with bondo or something then repaint?
