Way to bump a 7 year old dead thread answering the OP :rofl2:

I use Shell and avoid Chevron :twocents:

I saw some research years ago about the various additive blends used by the various gas companies per region. Tried finding it just now with no luck. The data showed the additive package in Shell V-Power was clearly superior to others. Chevron's additives are good for longevity and not much else. Or course that was probably 5+ years ago. Who knows what has changed in that time.

When I use Shell, I would take built Mustangs and Camaros to gaplebees....

Oh I thought this is the Facebook group, sorry.

Shell all the way.

Does Chevron have ethanol?

No Chevron in Hawaii for the last 3 years. They sold all their assets here and stations all got rebranded to Texaco.

maybe it's a mix of tune, shorter final and minimal highway, but I'm barely getting 13mpg

Both Chevron and Shell gasoline’s are both top tier gasoline’s. Only negative I see here is depending on your basis with France they have stock shares in Shell as Chevron/Texaco uses a lot of resources “refineries” in North America and Alaska which you will find most people in North America will support Chevron/Texaco and employing people in their own country. As far as using gasoline in a Nissan/Infiniti vehicle Nissan highly recommends only using top tier gasoline’s in all their models. I have did tear downs and rebuilds on a 2.5L Nissan Altima and 2.0L Nissan Sentra after 300K miles of using only Chevron/Texaco “top tier” gasoline’s carbon build up deposits were quite minimal and inside of the engine a specially the combustion chambers and valves were actually clean comparing to using non top tier lower quality fuels. I have been using Chevron 93 for street duty and VP Racing Fuel 100 and Phillips 66 “76” 100 for track duty in my all my Z’s with excellent results. Use what gasoline works best in your vehicle in your climate.
