New ARK Exhaust Arrived today!!

3 Attachment(s)
So I recieved my new exhaust today and when I unboxed it I was VERY surprised!! Please see pics below and let me know your thoughts, I'm on the fence as to if I like them or not. I love the burnt look, but it almost looks like too much with the mufflers being burnt as well!?!?

Flushnismo 02-15-2012 10:12 PM

I think it looks sick

TheOtherRob 02-15-2012 10:14 PM

I think it will look good once it's installed.

pf62 02-15-2012 10:20 PM

I didn't know the mufflers should be that way for the 370z. I just got burnt tips. One of my tips is burnt on the inside and the other one isn't. Ark told me to (1), leave it that way and eventually they both will be black (2) pay to ship it back to them (3), buy a polishing wheel for my drill and do the work myself. Real nice of them, good luck if you don't like the way they are.

ydg27g 02-15-2012 10:25 PM

I think the blue will look better with my Z being bue as well, no intentions of returning them either. unfortunantly I'm leaving town this weekend and won't be able to intall them for another 2 weeks. But at least then the rest of my parts will be in.

LakeShow 02-15-2012 10:36 PM

Congrats, looks good. Now time for videos. :)

wdkwang 02-15-2012 11:27 PM

looks perfect my man

that's how the $2k amuse exhaust is burnt as well

370Z JT 02-15-2012 11:31 PM

Damn I want that look for the Motordyne exhaust.

Is it full titanium or stainless steel?

wdkwang 02-15-2012 11:39 PM

i believe its stainless steel for about $1k

alcheng 02-15-2012 11:50 PM

Look forward to hear the sound of it!!

ydg27g 02-16-2012 12:00 AM

Yeah I believe they are SS. Thier websight has the grip 2 on sale for $1189, these are the Grip 2V2s but I paid the same including shipping through Tunerz_store here on the forum.

alcheng 02-16-2012 12:21 AM

Will the burnt mark on the muffler be easily seen after they are mounted?? If not, why bother with them, but yes, the whole system looks Great!!!!

Vince 02-16-2012 12:21 AM

Once it's installed, you won't really be able to see the mufflers...

UNKNOWN_370 02-16-2012 04:50 AM

This exhaust looks hot... congrats.

mantella87 02-16-2012 08:36 AM

Very nice, I am thinking about getting the same exhaust. It will look awesome when it's installed, don't worry.

Zeuz 02-16-2012 08:49 AM

I think they look Great !!!

RobMan 02-16-2012 11:33 AM

Agreed. This is the exhaust that is at the top of my list.

mantella87 02-16-2012 11:39 AM

Make sure you post a lot of sound clips and install pics. :tiphat:

ydg27g 02-16-2012 11:39 AM

Thanks for all the replies. Looking at the other ARK pics I think you will be able to see the mufflers once installed. Unfortunantly I am leaving town and won't know for another 2 weeks!

ydg27g 02-16-2012 11:40 AM

I will definately post pics and sound clips as well as let you guys know about the fitment, seems alot of pple have had some issues with the older ones.

This is why I don't even go to their website... if it hasn't been fitment issues its been subtle quality issues for years already? It has been poor customer service... I follow them on both Z and gencoupe forums... the exhaust tips are almost always uneven in looks and workmanship. The tips is what everyone sees. $1200 for a imperfect exhaust that they don't want to fix unless you pay hundreds in shipping AGAIN! Hahaha....
You should get a refund and see Tony.

ZKraken22 03-05-2012 06:38 AM

how did you get those burns on the mufflers? did you do that or did ark do it?

Aizen Sosuke 03-05-2012 11:41 AM

Does your wife have a sister? Anyways can you give us a shot of the ground clearance for the mufflers and any info in case you are lowered?
Thanks in advance

Couldn't agree more... Go Fast Intensions, it will be perfect.
