Crooked Hood?

So I've had my 370 for just over 500 miles and I just noticed that my hood doesn't sit even. The passenger side is raised a few centimeters, leaving a gap between the lights and the fender a couple centimeters wide. The driver's side is fine.

Any ideas on adjustment or have the dealer check it out? Does anyone else's Z have this issue?

Wow a few centimeters? You sure you didn't seat it correctly?

i've also noticed that the hood isn't sit well, but it's just becuase we are loving our car too much, just let the hood to fell down itself from about 20~25 CM height, and it will automatically sits correctly. Do not press it down with your strength or weight, just let the hood to free fall itself. If it didn't correct your hood problem, go to local nissan service centre. :-p

yeah, if your too nice to it the passenger side wont seat. you have to tell it was a naughty girl its been and close it with a purpose.

when i first got my car and got it home at night and i was looking at it i notice the passenger side was slightly off from the fender to the headlight

and then i realize there are two latches on the hood and i just didnt close the passenger side properly
so you might want to check on that :D

Just a little comments on the Aluminium hood & doors, after half an hour of city driving ,the surface of the hood is very hot to touch,if rain fall, steam will come out, hence paint easily damage,& the doors is so thin,it felt like Coca Cola cans.!

Same thing on the G. The passenger side needs a bit a force to sit down.

When you're done working under the hood, just hold it about a foot or two above closed and drop it. It snaps into place perfectly, avoids you smashing on the upper painted surface with your grimy hands, and lets the car know who's boss :)

Never ever push the hood down if it didn't close. Someone did that and he bent the hood.
Just open it again and drop it again.

thats nothing, my father has an NSX-T, the targa top stores above the engine and is insulated but aluminum conducts heat so well that you have to use "mechanix" heat resistant gloves to touch the top to reinstall it after driving. Found out the hard way!

^^ wow...that was a stupid idea to design the car like that....lol
